Feifei, this adorable cat that my boyfriend and I cherish, holds a position as important as a dear son in my heart. At first, my mother didn’t support my decision to raise a cat. Every time she called, she would always ask concernedly, “Have you sent that cat away yet?” or remind me, “Don’t let it get on your bed.” After all, I was living in a different city, and she couldn’t directly interfere with my life, so she could only express her concerns through phone calls.
However, when I brought Feifei home, everything changed. My mother’s attitude gradually shifted from firm opposition to extreme fondness, presenting a classic “never say never” scenario. I added my mother to various cat – product groups, and since then, she has started a crazy shopping spree for Feifei. On Taobao, my mother frequently places orders, and Feifei’s cans, snacks, and toys have never run out. Every night before going to bed, my mother will carry Feifei to her bed and hold it tightly to sleep. And Feifei seems to feel my mother’s full love. Perhaps because my mother often feeds it cat treats, Feifei especially likes my mother. It often gently kisses my mother’s nose when she is asleep. This warm scene makes me feel a strong sense of love and warmth.
Now, Feifei has been spoiled rotten. It has become very picky. It will only eat cat food if my mother holds it in her hand and feeds it. If my mother doesn’t feed it, it will run to my mother’s side and keep meowing, urging my mother to feed it. This makes me both angry and amused. Looking at Feifei’s strong dependence on my mother, although I complain verbally, I am more relieved in my heart because I know that Feifei has successfully integrated into our family and has become an important bond connecting our family affection.
I still remember when Feifei was two months old, on the first day we brought it home, it went straight into my quilt and fell asleep soundly, as if this was its home all along. At that time, it was a small, cute ball. Even when it was extremely sleepy, it still tried hard to sit beside me and accompany me. The way it was so sleepy that its body was about to fall over made me laugh and melted my heart.
Feifei’s sleeping postures are also very strange, often making us burst into laughter. Sometimes, it lies on its back with its round belly exposed, sleeping without any defense; sometimes, it curls up into a ball, like a furry sphere, with only its small head showing. Every time I see its strange sleeping postures, I can’t help but pick up my phone and record these interesting moments.
When we are away from home all day, the moment we get home, Feifei will always quickly run over and rub against our feet, making soft meowing sounds. Its tail stands up high, and its body twists constantly, as if telling us how much it misses us. I know that little cats don’t swear, and its enthusiastic actions are clearly showing its love and affection to us.
The arrival of Feifei has not only brought endless joy to my life and my boyfriend’s life but has also made my mother’s life more colorful. With its cuteness and obedience, it has successfully conquered the hearts of our whole family. In the days of getting along with Feifei, we have witnessed its growth and also harvested many beautiful memories. I believe that in the days to come, Feifei will continue to accompany us, bring us more surprises and warmth, and fill our family with more laughter and joy.
