Since Guaiguai entered my home, it has been almost five months in a blink of an eye. During these days, I have experienced a lot with Guaiguai, and later, Yuanyuan and Yiyi, who joined the family. There have been concerns, but more importantly, there is full of warmth and joy.
When I first brought Guaiguai back from the cat shed, I was really worried about its health. The environment in the cat shed was dark, damp, and there were a large number of cats. In such an environment, most of the cats adopted from there had inflammation. Guaiguai was no exception. When it first arrived home, it sneezed frequently and had a runny nose and watery eyes. Looking at its uncomfortable appearance, I felt extremely distressed. Fortunately, I worked from home during that period, so I had enough time and energy to take care of it. I carefully fed it medicine and always paid attention to its diet and mental state. After a period of careful care, Guaiguai’s condition gradually improved.
After Guaiguai, Yuanyuan and Yiyi also successively became members of the family. Yuanyuan is a chubby short – haired cat. After entering the home, its weight increased rapidly by one and a half pounds, just like blowing a balloon. Its chubby figure, paired with innocent big eyes, is extremely cute in every move. Yiyi is a long – haired cat. However, on the day we brought it home, for some reasons, we took it to the hospital to shave its hair. Now its hair is slowly growing back. The three cats have different personalities, but they all bring me endless joy.
Guaiguai especially likes to lie on the balcony with Yuanyuan, enjoying the warmth of the sun. They lie there quietly, looking out of the window, as if exploring this novel world. And sleeping seems to be one of the most important things in their lives. Every corner of the house can become their bed. They can be seen lying on their backs and sleeping soundly on the sofa, on the floor, on the chair, and everywhere. Sometimes, seeing them sleeping so sweetly, I can’t bear to disturb them.
My mother and girlfriend also really like these three little cats. In the past, when video – chatting with me at night, they would always talk to me at the beginning. But since Guaiguai entered the home, every time we video – chatted, after just a few words, they couldn’t wait to say they wanted to see Guaiguai. Later, when Yuanyuan and Yiyi came, they became the protagonists in the video. Watching them laugh heartily because of the cute actions of the cats, I also felt a different kind of happiness.
Of course, the cats are not always well – behaved and cute. They occasionally get naughty, such as messing up the things at home or leaving marks where they shouldn’t scratch. Once, when I came home, I saw the living room in a mess, with various toys scattered all over the place, while the three little guys were still playing on their own as if nothing had happened. However, whenever I saw their innocent eyes, the anger in my heart disappeared without a trace.
During their growth process, there were also times when I was worried. Guaiguai had experienced diarrhea and vomiting. Every time it got sick, I was extremely anxious. Not only did I have to spend time and energy taking care of it, but I also had to “bleed” for its medical expenses, feeling like I was going to be broke. But even so, I have never regretted raising them. Because the happiness they bring me far exceeds these small troubles.
I often watch the three of them playing, fighting, and sleeping together, and my heart is filled with emotions. I hope my three little chubby cats can grow up healthily and happily forever. They have become an indispensable part of my life. I am willing to accompany them all the time, witness every beautiful moment in their lives, and let this warmth and joy continue. I believe that in the days to come, we will create more beautiful memories together and go through more springs, summers, autumns, and winters.
