During those boring days in life, I casually downloaded Xianyu, thinking of “virtually petting cats” on it to find some fun for myself. Little did I expect that a wonderful fate was quietly approaching me.
It was while browsing Xianyu that I saw the little treasure that I had been longing for. In the photo, it was not even as big as my palm. Its furry appearance simply melted my heart. At that moment, I didn’t hesitate to ask the seller if I could go to see the cat. Fortunately, the seller agreed. The next day, my friend and I went to see the cat with great anticipation.
The seller, a young lady, brought down three little kittens, each of them extremely cute. Their furry little ears moved gently, as if telling their curiosity. And I, at the first sight, fell in love with the most lively one among the three kittens. It was not afraid of people at all. Although it was extremely small in size, it was full of energy, running around us and rubbing its little head against our hands. Immediately, I decided to take it home. After paying the deposit, I started waiting for the little cat to come with great joy.
During the days of waiting for the kitten, I was extremely tormented. I kept asking myself, “Can I really take good care of it?” For this reason, I read a lot of popular science knowledge about how to raise cats and bought various cat supplies such as cat food and canned food. Considering that the cat might be uncomfortable, I didn’t even buy a cage or a cat bell.
To my surprise, the kitten came faster than I expected. However, the things I had prepared hadn’t all arrived yet. In desperation, I could only temporarily use the lid of a bucket as a litter box. Also, fearing that the soft cushion was too hot, I specially bought a straw – woven mat for it as a cat bed.
On the first day the kitten arrived, it showed its bold character and was not afraid of strangers at all. This was a two – month – old kitten, but it didn’t like to drink cat milk powder very much, which made me a bit worried. A week passed. Because I was a little allergic to cat hair, I temporarily kept it in my roommate’s room and slowly tried to get in touch with it. The cat litter I chose was tofu cat litter, which basically had no smell and wouldn’t cause trouble in life.
This little cat especially likes to act coquettishly and is a super clingy baby. When it just wakes up, it will be unhappy because of being disturbed. But once it “awakens”, it immediately becomes full of energy, running around the house like a “Wind – chasing Sama” who comes and goes without a trace. It also especially likes dark places and often hides under clothes to sleep, as if there is its secret base. In addition, it has a special fondness for playing with leaves. A leaf can keep it entertained for a whole day. Looking at its focused appearance, I always can’t help laughing.
When it eats, it looks like a little hamster, with its eyes wide open. Because it is not yet three months old, the blue film in its eyes has not faded, making them look extremely clear and bright. However, it can also be naughty. One day, it accidentally got stuck by the table and meowed anxiously. I quickly rescued it. Looking at its frightened appearance, it was really both heartbreaking and funny.
As time goes by, the relationship between me and the little cat is getting deeper and deeper. It has brought endless joy and warmth to my life, making my originally plain days colorful. In the process of taking care of it, I have also learned a lot and understood the importance of responsibility and companionship. I believe that in the days to come, we will spend more wonderful times together, and it will grow up healthily and happily under my care.
