In the long river of life, some encounters are unexpected but can bring endless warmth and surprises, just like the story between me and the cat Tuanzi. At first, I didn’t have much affection for cats. However, my husband’s love for cats was as intense as a raging fire. He asked a friend for a little cat and, after symbolically giving 200 yuan for the vaccine, happily brought Tuanzi home with great joy.
When Tuanzi first arrived home, it was already more than six months old. Perhaps because it was in a new environment, it was extremely insecure. As soon as it entered the house, it quickly hid under the coffee table, only showing a pair of timid eyes, vigilantly observing everything around. Looking at this small figure, a trace of pity welled up in my heart, and I also began to pay attention to it gradually.
As time passed, Tuanzi gradually got used to the new environment, and its “road to getting fat” quietly began. Originally thin and small, it started to become round. Every day, it always followed us, especially me. No matter which room I slept in, it had to be within its sight. Once, I was lying in bed sleeping. In a daze, I felt a heavy weight on me. When I opened my eyes, it was Tuanzi. Its “Mount Tai – like” weight almost made me suffocate. It just lay quietly on me, as if it had found the most reassuring place.
Although Tuanzi looks a bit fierce, in fact, it is a lively and silly girl. It always runs around the house, full of curiosity about everything. It jumps onto the sofa one moment and gets under the bed the next, and from time to time, it does some silly things that make people laugh. For example, it will chase its own tail and keep spinning in circles until it gets dizzy, and then look around blankly.
Now, Tuanzi has fully integrated into our lives. It has become even rounder, and it almost has no neck. Its appearance is extremely cute. Once, for some reason, something like an earphone got on its forehead, looking very funny and making us burst into laughter.
Having a little cat really adds a lot of fun to life. Every day when I get home and see Tuanzi’s lively figure, the fatigue of the day will instantly dissipate. It will greet us at the door, circle around us non – stop, and make “meow meow” sounds, as if telling us its missing for us. However, raising a cat is not all smooth sailing. During the shedding period, our home simply became an “ocean of fur”. Fur was flying all over the sky, and walking could even lift the fur on the ground, which really bothered me. To solve this problem, we supplemented Tuanzi with some nutrition. Surprisingly, I don’t know whether it was the nutrition supplementation that worked or the change of seasons, but now Tuanzi sheds very little hair, and our home has returned to its former tidiness.
Looking back on the days spent with Tuanzi, from the initial strangeness and indifference to the deep love now, it has become an indispensable member of our family. With its liveliness, cuteness, and dependence, it has planted a seed of love in my heart, making me truly feel the happiness of having a little cat’s company. In the days to come, I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with Tuanzi and watching it grow up healthily and happily under our care. I believe that this special emotion between humans and cats will become deeper and deeper with the precipitation of time and become one of the most precious treasures in my life.
