My Adorable Cat, Tangyuan: A Source of Unending Happiness

In my life, the cat Tangyuan has become an important source of my happiness. Whenever I think of her or look at her photos, a smile of happiness will unconsciously appear on my lips. Those wonderful moments spent with her are like shining stars, illuminating my life.

Looking back on last year, I had originally selected a short – legged Munchkin cat and was full of anticipation to be with it. However, due to some unforeseen reasons, I finally couldn’t keep it by my side. At that time, I felt very disappointed and even once planned to give up the idea of keeping a cat. But one day a few months later, my love for cats in my heart was ignited again, and this time the idea was extremely strong. I wanted to have a cat of my own immediately. So, I couldn’t wait to run to the place where cats were sold. Among many lovely cats, I took a fancy to this silver – shaded female kitten at a glance.

She was only three months old at that time. There were two other male cats in the same litter, the same size as her. I held each cat, and she was the most well – behaved one. When I held her in my arms, she didn’t move at all and nestled against me quietly. Her gentle appearance captured my heart instantly. I thought to myself, this is the kind of cute and obedient little cutie I want to keep, so I brought her home without hesitation. Looking at her snow – white fur, I named her “Tangyuan”.

Tangyuan is extremely timid. When I first brought her home, she always hid under the TV cabinet, only showing her little head and carefully observing this strange new home. She refused to come out no matter what. We had to put the cat food and water outside and quietly wait for her to come out and eat by herself when she was hungry. As time passed, Tangyuan gradually got familiar with the environment. She began to “run wild” and play in the room, full of energy, and at the same time, she slowly became a chubby little cat.

In the first few months, Tangyuan was really very small, so small that she couldn’t even jump onto the bed. However, a month after bringing her home, she got ringworm on her ears. The fur on both ears almost fell out, and there were also many tear stains under her eyes. She looked very pitiful. Seeing her uncomfortable appearance, I felt extremely distressed. Since then, I have carefully wiped her eyes every day and applied the medicine for ringworm on time. Under my meticulous care, she finally recovered completely in about two months.

I bought Tangyuan home at the end of October last year, and the Spring Festival came more than three months later. Considering that she might have a stress reaction to a strange environment, we decided to let her stay at home alone for a week and prepared plenty of water and cat food for her. Before, we fed her at fixed times, but after the Spring Festival, in order to let her have food at any time, there was always food in the cat bowl, and we would add more when it was gone. Unexpectedly, this feeding method made her fatter and fatter, and the flesh on her belly was soft and comfortable to touch.

Now, Tangyuan has become an indispensable member of our family. Her presence makes our home full of vitality. Every move of hers and every act of coquetry make me feel endless warmth and happiness. I’m very glad to have met her and also very grateful for every day she has accompanied me. In the days to come, I hope to always be with Tangyuan, watch her grow up healthily and happily, and create more beautiful memories together. I believe that with her company, my life will be filled with more laughter and warmth.
