The Quirky and Charming Life of Phoebe

The Quirky and Charming Life of Phoebe

Phoebe, my cute and mischievous cat, has left countless interesting moments in my life. Every little bit constitutes a unique and warm story between us.

Her “integration” with the cat tree is amazing. Once, I searched for a while before finding her lying steadily in a corner of the cat tree. If it weren’t for her occasionally blinking eyes, one would really think she and the cat tree were originally one. Another time, right after she finished digging the litter box, she shouted at me loudly, as if saying, “Hey, the litter – box cleaner! I just dug the litter box!” Her little look was both cute and a bit arrogant.

I remember when my ex – boyfriend first saw her, she was not shy at all and generously showed her belly. Her familiarity made people laugh. Her chubby head really lived up to the saying “Big head, big head, no need to worry about the rain.” She looked so cute. Once, on a whim, I put a small shoe cover similar to UGG on her. Her dazed expression at that time seemed to be asking, “Who put the UGG on me?” It made me laugh out loud.

However, raising Phoebe was not always smooth sailing. Unfortunately, she got ringworm. To treat her, I had to shave her tail and even her whole body, and used Malaseb to treat her. Generally, it is not recommended to shave a cat. After shaving, I thought she looked so ugly myself, and the hair that grew back later was also a bit darker than before. However, Phoebe didn’t seem to be angry because of being shaved and was still the lively little guy. Once, I took a snapshot of her with her big mouth wide open. Her expression at that moment was so exaggerated that she looked extremely fierce.

After learning to climb up and down, Phoebe’s “adventure” journey began. She often jumps directly from the top of the cat tree to the bed. Every time before jumping, she would grunt in her mouth as if she were giving herself a running start. She also has a special habit. Every time she goes to the toilet, she has to shout loudly, as if she wants to announce it to the world. When she is about to do something naughty on the balcony but hasn’t started yet, she begins to “publicize” it. Every time she climbs onto the bed or climbs high, she has to shout “woo – wa” in her mouth first and then jump, just like when people do long – jump, shouting a few times can make them jump more steadily.

Until one day, I started making cat food for her. Something magical happened. Her black chin gradually improved, her tear stains decreased, and her hair began to grow longer. Instantly, taking pictures of her was no longer an embarrassing thing. She looked good no matter how I took pictures. But at the same time, she became even more naughty. In the middle of the night, she would start running around. At three or four o’clock in the morning, she would carry toys to the bed to play with me. Sometimes, I could hear the sound of her licking her head in the middle of the night. It was really both endearing and helpless.

I used to have a little tabby cat. When going out, it was extremely scared, and when strangers came to the house, it would hide far away. But Phoebe is completely different. When taking her out to play, a hole has to be opened in the carrier, and a rope has to be held tightly in my hand, otherwise she will run away in no time. As a little female cat, she can’t get fat no matter how much she eats, which really worries me. Because she often lies lazily at home like a “corpse”, I even often take her out to play. As a result, she has become an emoji. Her various cute looks are shared by everyone.

Sometimes, Phoebe is really the biggest obstacle on my learning path. She will look at me eagerly, as if saying, “I’m just waiting to see when you will play with me.” When she stares at the ceiling, I also wonder: “What’s on the ceiling!” Every time after giving her a bath, she seems to be angry with me and ignores me for a while, just like “breaking up for twenty minutes.”

Some time ago, Phoebe was in heat for the first time, which really gave me a hard time. I didn’t sleep well for three days and three nights. Usually, when I touch her belly, she will fake – bite, and when I touch her tail, she will get angry. But when she was in heat, she was just like a charming little goblin. Fortunately, as soon as the heat period ended, she returned to her usual naughty appearance. When she saw cat grass, she would be extremely excited, as if saying, “Cat grass makes me excited!”

Now, I’m about to find a “child – bride – in – waiting” Joey for her. I really hope Joey and little Phoebe can get along harmoniously. Looking at the two of them, they seem to have a husband – and – wife look. I’m full of anticipation that they will create more interesting stories together and add more joy to my life. I believe that the days to come with their company will be even more wonderful.
