In the wonderful journey of life, I met the cat Ahu, and this experience is full of warmth and emotion.
Ahu is a folded – ear cat. When it comes to folded – ear cats, many people know that due to genetic defects, they are prone to hereditary skeletal diseases. This has led many people to call for not buying folded – ear cats to reduce the harm caused by breeding, and I highly agree with this concept. As for myself, if I were to choose a cat to buy, given my understanding of the genetic problems of folded – ear cats, I would not choose a folded – ear cat. However, Ahu’s arrival was special. At that time, something happened at home, and I was in great need of company in my low mood.
A friend of mine, a straight – forward guy, didn’t understand the complex knowledge about cat breeds. But out of concern for me, he remotely directed his sister to help buy Ahu and gave it to me. He is really a very, very nice person. Ahu’s mother has no folded – ear blood within three generations, and Ahu itself is very lively and healthy. However, since Ahu came to my side, there are always people repeating “folded – ear, folded – ear, folded – ear” over and over again. It really gets annoying after hearing it too many times. It’s like repeatedly nagging the family members of a person with a genetic disease but currently healthy: “Don’t look at him being healthy now. He will definitely get sick in the future, and it will be very painful. You must never abandon him in the future.” With such words, no matter who it is, they will feel uncomfortable in their hearts and may even want to “pat someone with a shovel”.

Indeed, it is very correct and meaningful to admonish everyone not to buy folded – ear cats and reduce harm from the source. But for those who already have folded – ear cats, overly emphasizing the possible risk of future diseases only increases the psychological burden of the owners and has no practical help. After all, the fate of the kitten has been determined and will not change because of others’ will. For the kitten, the most important thing is to have a master who truly treats it well, which is the key to truly bringing it happiness.
Later, I had to make a difficult decision and could no longer keep Ahu. This was not because it was sick (in fact, Ahu is still very healthy, and its courage is sometimes very bold and sometimes very timid). It was because my mother strongly opposed it. Something happened at home at that time, and I couldn’t stimulate my mother anymore and couldn’t confront her either. So, I decided to give Ahu away. Ahu is very cute, and there were many people who wanted to adopt it. After careful comparison, I gave it to my friend’s sister. She is a very nice girl and is very attentive to Ahu. Ahu left me, a “poor owner” who only thought about feeding it meat, and lived a life like a high – end and elegant rich girl. Now, whenever I’m in a bad mood, I will ask the girl for photos and videos of Ahu and use Ahu’s cute appearance to cheer myself up.
When Ahu was a kitten, it was a small ball, and its appearance was very endearing. It also has an interesting feature. Its eyes are as beautiful as if it were wearing contact lenses. Its interaction with the rabbit at home is also very interesting. The rabbit is twice its size, but Ahu runs very fast. Every day, it playfully pats the rabbit’s head and runs away after patting. The rabbit is usually kept in a cage, and Ahu swaggers in front of the rabbit’s cage every day, showing off. Its lively and naughty appearance makes people laugh.
The days spent with Ahu were short, but those memories are extremely precious. It brought me warmth and joy and also made me more deeply understand the meaning and responsibility of life. Although we eventually separated, I know that Ahu is doing well in its new home, which also makes me extremely relieved. I hope Ahu can always grow up healthily and happily and continue to bring endless joy to the people around it.
