My Beloved Cat - Pangpang

My Beloved Cat – Pangpang

Over the past four years, Pangpang has been accompanying me and has long become an indispensable part of my life. Every day when I come home from work, the first thing I do is call its name. Immediately after, I can see Pangpang’s lazy figure slowly walking from the room to the living room. Its leisurely appearance can instantly dispel the fatigue of my whole day.

At night when I go to sleep, Pangpang always stays in my room. For four years, I dare not close the door too tightly when I sleep, for fear that it will be inconvenient for Pangpang to go out or come in in the middle of the night. It is really super gentle. However, it has a little temper and doesn’t like to be held by people for a long time. It can choose to sleep beside you on its own initiative, enjoying the peace and warmth. But if you forcefully hold it beside you, it will be a bit unhappy. It seems to prefer to decide the way to get close to the owner according to its own wishes. This kind of assertive and cute character makes me love it even more.

In summer, Pangpang especially likes to sleep on the chair beside the bed. That chair seems to have become its exclusive “summer resort”. It will curl up comfortably into a ball, squint its eyes, and enjoy the rare coolness in summer to the fullest. The sunlight shines on it through the window, outlining its furry outline, looking like a warm picture.

Pangpang is also very curious about the succulent plants I raise. Once, I accidentally found that it was secretly playing with my succulents. Its little paws gently fiddled with the leaves, having great fun. When it noticed that I had discovered its “naughty behavior”, it immediately pretended to be nonchalant, with its eyes wandering, trying to make me believe that it hadn’t done anything just now. Its deliberately calm and slightly guilty appearance is really hilarious.

Speaking of Pangpang’s sleeping posture, it is really extremely interesting. Sometimes it will pose in a “the old cat pillows the salted fish” position, lying on its back, with its belly facing up and its limbs stretching casually. It sleeps so soundly as if the whole world has nothing to do with it. Looking at its defenseless sleeping appearance, my heart is full of tenderness, and I cherish every moment with it even more.

Although Pangpang looks chubby from the outside and gives people the feeling of being very fat, in fact, it only weighs 13 pounds. It is relatively large in size and extremely flexible. Once, I saw with my own eyes that it easily jumped onto the tall cabinet, as agile as a little leopard. It jumps up and down in the room, running here and there, exploring its small world, full of energy, and completely unlike a “fat cat”.

Over these four years, Pangpang has brought me countless joys and warmth. It is not just a pet, but also my family member and my friend. It has accompanied me through countless ordinary and beautiful days. When I am happy, it quietly accompanies me aside; when I am sad, it will rub against me with its warm little body, giving me silent comfort. I know that in the days to come, Pangpang will continue to accompany me. We will create more precious memories together and go through more springs, summers, autumns, and winters. I am looking forward to writing more wonderful stories belonging to us with Pangpang.
