In the days of accompanying my silver – shaded cat, there are all kinds of stories. Among them, the most headache – causing one for me is a series of entanglements related to its “urine – related matters”.
It was an ordinary day. I was immersed in the two – hour game world of Overwatch (OW for short). In the intense battles and tense situations, I was fully focused, but I always vaguely felt that something was missing around me. When I suddenly looked up, the scene in front of me made me dumbfounded. The house was in a mess, and the culprit – my silver – shaded cat – was pacing aside as if nothing had happened, not realizing at all the “disaster” it had just created. At that moment, I suddenly realized that in my concentration on the game, I had ignored its abnormal behavior.
Looking back on 2018. From that week on, the cat started wetting the bed crazily. At first, I didn’t understand the reason. Later, through observation, I found that it always urinated in one place. All kinds of signs indicated that it was probably in heat. As a cat litter cleaner, facing this sudden situation, I felt extremely helpless and annoyed. Every day when I came home and saw the smelly sheets and the wet corners, my mood immediately dropped to the bottom. Helplessly, I immediately made an appointment with Ruipeng Pet Hospital and decided to send it for neutering surgery the next day. This “testicle – cutting ceremony” should have been arranged long ago. It was just postponed all the time, resulting in it becoming more and more “pampered” and its behavior becoming more and more uncontrollable.
On the day of the surgery, I sent it into the operating room with a nervous heart. Fortunately, the surgery was successful. After the surgery, according to the doctor’s advice, it needed to be fasted from food and water for 6 hours. Looking at it lying there weakly, wearing a small head collar, it looked very pitiful. At that time, it seemed to have become a “useless cat”, and its usual liveliness disappeared. It was really a poor little thing. Let’s put a recent photo of it wearing a head collar. The small head collar was tightly strapped around its head, looking a bit funny. There was a hint of confusion and grievance in its eyes, which made people laugh but also feel full of pity.
I thought that everything would be fine after the neutering surgery, but the fact was not so. As it gradually recovered, I found that its temper was getting worse and worse. It became irritable and restless, throwing things around the house, and the originally warm home was tossed into a mess by it. I tried to soothe it, but it always had little effect. Time came to 2019, and the nightmare came again. It started wetting the bed crazily again. This time, the situation seemed to be more serious. It urinated in various ways, everywhere, and even blatantly in front of me, as if declaring its “sovereignty” to me. It simply became a “urine – obsessed cat”, making it impossible for me to guard against. During that time, I was busy cleaning up its urine every day, washing the sheets and disinfecting the floor. The house was filled with an unremovable strange smell, and my life was also messed up by these endless “urine – related matters”.
During these days of raising a silver – shaded cat, although it is full of entanglements with its “urine – related matters” and makes me have a headache, every time I see its cute appearance and innocent eyes, I really can’t be really angry with it. It is like a naughty child. While bringing me troubles, it also adds many unique colors to my life. Although I am exhausted by the urine, I know that this is also part of accompanying it. Those days of interwoven troubles and laughter will all become a unique and unforgettable memory in my life.
