In the world of my cat masters, there is a silver – shaded cat whose life is full of hilarious little episodes, completely changing my initial view of it as “stupid”.
This silver – shaded cat is a “carefree” foodie when it comes to diet. When I first got it, I was surprised to find that its diet was incredibly wide. It ate bread and rice, these staple foods for humans, with gusto, and even chewed on cabbage leaves with relish. And its sensitivity to delicious food is astonishing. On weekdays, it always comes and goes alone, spending most of its time sleeping soundly, as if indifferent to the world around it. However, as soon as you gently open a bag of potato chips, even if you are extremely careful and make no sound at all, and even if you have confirmed that it is sound asleep in another room before opening, the result is always unexpected. The moment you are about to put the potato chips into your mouth, it can always appear in front of you silently, accompanied by a whining and coquettish sound, as if saying: “Master, give me some too!” At this time, you can’t help but wonder if its usually dull sense of smell and hearing are all faked.
When buying cat snacks online, many interesting things have happened. I bought freeze – dried quails for the two cats to eat. The Siamese cat was very cautious, sniffing around the freeze – dried quails but never daring to take a bite. Perhaps it thought the appearance of the little quail made it difficult to start. And our silver – shaded cat master, who usually looks gentle, delicate, and harmless, showed a completely different side at this moment. It didn’t hesitate to swallow the little quail in one bite. After eating, it still wanted more and kept meowing, as if urging me to give it some more. The Siamese cat is always slow to react. Seeing the silver – shaded cat eating so deliciously, it didn’t start to try until two days later. Once it ate, it found that the freeze – dried quail was so delicious. Presumably, it was also regretting its initial “inability to recognize good things”.
In terms of “using”, this silver – shaded cat also shows its “shrewdness”. Every time I buy a new cat bed or a new hammock online and take it out, the Siamese cat always approaches tentatively, hesitates for a long time, and is reluctant to use it. While the silver – shaded cat has a unique vision. It can always jump in the first time, lie down comfortably, and start enjoying the beautiful scenery outside the window on the hammock. For new cat beds, it will also choose the better one to sleep in. When the Siamese cat finally makes up its mind to sleep, it finds that all the good ones have been picked by the silver – shaded cat.
It usually doesn’t like to be clingy and spends most of its time sleeping alone in the next room. However, since I bought a cool and silky tencel quilt online, things have changed. It discovered the comfort of this quilt and has since run to my bed every day, lying on my beloved quilt and sleeping soundly. What’s more exasperating is that it seems to know that its behavior is not allowed and always quickly jumps out of bed and hides before I scold it. But as soon as I turn around, it immediately lies back again, as if playing an interesting “hide – and – seek” game with me, making people angry and funny at the same time. The newly bought heated mouse pad in winter also couldn’t escape its “clutches”. It was discovered and occupied by it on the first day. Since then, I can only press the mouse with difficulty on the edge of the mouse pad “occupied” by it.
Based on these daily bits and pieces, I seriously suspect that its usual “stupidity” is all faked. It is clearly a born – to – enjoy and reserved master. Only when it comes to matters related to eating, wearing, and using, which concern its own enjoyment, is it willing to use its clever little head. Although it has an indifferent temperament and doesn’t like to be clingy, I still love it deeply. After all, it is the beauty of our family, and it has an extremely gentle personality and never scratches people. In the days of getting along with it, these interesting stories keep happening, filling my life with unique joy and making me cherish the time with it even more.
