In my life, there exists a little feline friend whose cuteness and docility are simply beyond compare. This cat has not only become an important part of my daily life but has also managed to win over the hearts of everyone around with its endearing nature.
The first time I attempted to trim its nails, it sat obediently in my lap, allowing me to carry out the task without the slightest bit of resistance. One time, my boyfriend accidentally hurt it while cutting its nails, and it let out a plaintive “meow,” looking so pitiful. Despite the pain, it neither scratched nor tried to run away. At that moment, my heart ached with sympathy for this gentle creature.
Bathing is an experience that clearly scares the cat. It shivers uncontrollably with fear and tries to find opportunities to escape. However, even in its terrified state, it never resorts to scratching people. Once, it managed to slip away during the bath, but when I caught it and brought it back, it looked up to see who had grabbed it. Recognizing me, it obediently squatted down again, allowing me to continue the bath. It’s as if it knows that I’m trying to take care of it, even if the process is a bit frightening for it.

In our daily routine, a simple call is all it takes for the cat to come running. It is extremely clingy, and in its eyes, being held is a precious moment. No matter how wildly it may be playing, the instant it is lifted into someone’s arms, it becomes quiet as a mouse, pressing its head against the person and remaining still, as if savoring the warmth and security of the embrace.
When we first brought the cat home, it had cat ringworm. Every time we took it to the pet hospital, it would lie on the examination table, trembling with fear. As soon as the doctor let go, it would crawl towards me with unerring accuracy. Once, it actually managed to reach me and buried its head in my clothes, refusing to come out. The trust and dependence it showed at that moment were so overwhelming that it melted my heart. It was a clear indication of how much it relied on me for comfort and safety.
This cat rarely meows. There was one occasion when I noticed it going to the food bowl frequently but coming back quickly. I didn’t think much of it at the time. It was only in the afternoon that I realized this little glutton had emptied the food bowl. Every time it went to the bowl and found it empty, it would simply return without making a sound. It was only by chance that I discovered this. Everyone who comes to our home is amazed at how well – behaved it is. There’s a picture of it hiding under a young lady’s skirt, which just adds to its charm.
Another funny quirk of this cat is that it only likes to drink water from my cup. Once, when we had guests, there were several cups of water on the coffee table. It sniffed each cup one by one and stopped at mine to start drinking. I was left there, quite astonished at this strange preference.
All the time, it yearns to be with its owners. Even if we are in the same room, each doing our own thing, it is content. But if it is separated from us, it will keep squatting at the door, waiting patiently for someone to open it. At night, it always wants to sleep with us. However, because its cat ringworm hadn’t healed yet, we couldn’t let it into the bedroom. Every night, around bedtime, it would hide under our bed, afraid that we would drive it out of the bedroom.
My elderly family member initially opposed our decision to keep a cat. But within a few days, this cat had become the most beloved creature in the house. She would constantly murmur, “It’s so well – behaved, so well – behaved.” The cat has a special way of showing its affection by hugging. It doesn’t matter if it’s my chest, arm, leg, or neck. As long as it can hug, it will do so obediently, showing its love and attachment in its own unique way.
There are so many more charming aspects of this cat that I’m sure I’ll remember and share in the future. Its presence has brought so much joy, warmth, and love into our lives, and we are truly grateful to have such an adorable and well – behaved feline friend.
