My Cats: Naughty, Greedy and Full of Love

My Cats: Naughty, Greedy and Full of Love

In my home, the presence of two cats has made my life lively and full of all kinds of hilarious stories. The greedy and naughty silver shaded British Shorthair kitten and the steady and well-behaved Chinese rural tricolor cat have completely different personalities, but together they form a unique scene in my home.

The greediness of the silver shaded British Shorthair kitten is truly beyond imagination. No matter what we eat, it will immediately come over and stare at us with those longing eyes, as if the food in our hands is the most delicious thing in the world. If it gets impatient waiting, it will even reach out its claws to snatch the food. Besides eagerly waiting for our “rewards”, it will also take the initiative to search for food. It runs to the kitchen countless times a day with a “deng deng deng” sound. In contrast, my big cat is very “disciplined”. It has no interest in other foods except cat food. So, every time it sees the kitten busying around in the kitchen, the big cat always looks confused, as if it doesn’t understand why this little brother is so obsessed with food.

The kitten has quite a “record” of stealing food. It has stolen freshly bought streaky pork, steamed buns, the internal organs I took out when washing fish, and even crown daisies and scallions from the kitchen. Of course, every time we managed to rescue the food from its mouth in time. Once, its attempt to steal food failed, and it accidentally got its head stuck in a food box and couldn’t pull it out. Seeing its funny appearance, my boyfriend and I laughed heartily. The big cat beside us looked speechless, as if it was saying, “Look at your silly look.”

In addition to being greedy, the kitten is also very naughty. My big cat has always been very well-behaved. When I first raised it alone, it never entered the kitchen or climbed around randomly. It always played in a proper way. However, since the arrival of the kitten, everything has changed. The kitten has developed a new “territory” – the top of the bookshelf at home. Originally, the top layer of the bookshelf was filled with dolls, with no spare space at all. I don’t know from which day the kitten suddenly decided to climb up there. As a result, this place has now been “occupied”. Every day, the two cats knock the dolls off and then climb up, as if they are enjoying the feeling of “looking down on all the mountains from the top”. The big cat has also been influenced by the kitten and started playing on the top of the bookshelf, which never happened before.

However, when the naughty kitten calms down, it is extremely cute and well-behaved. With its round eyes and round face, it makes people can’t help but want to kiss, hug, and pet it. No matter how we “torture” it, it won’t get angry, and its personality is very gentle. Sometimes, it will lie quietly beside me, making me feel its warmth and dependence.

With this greedy and naughty kitten, although there are more troubles, it also brings double the joy. Watching the two cats playing and frolicking together, my heart is filled with happiness. Their presence has made my life more colorful and has also made me experience the joy and responsibility of keeping cats. I cherish every moment spent with them and hope to always accompany them and witness more of their growth and happiness.
