Our silver shaded British Shorthair is a very gentle girl. She doesn’t deliberately attack people. Instead, she only likes to play with us and loves to rub her body against us with her tail. At the same time, she is a little clingy, but she knows very well how to maintain a proper distance. Sometimes I can’t bring myself to reject her initiative, because I’m worried that she will be frustrated and feel timid in her heart.
I forgot to mention that I call her Mimisang. Although she is a girl, I’ve always been calling her like this. And my boyfriend always likes to call her… Miaojijiji… It seems quite catchy actually.
At this time, she is already four months old. As the weather gradually warms up, she starts to shed hair frequently. I finally understand what a “dandelion cat” is like. At the age of four months, the cat is still in an awkward period of growth, but she is still very cute.

Occasionally, when she is bored, she likes to chase her own tail. And sometimes she even hides her ears while playing with her tail.
Now she is five months old. Because of her thick fur, she always looks like a chubby little thing.
She likes to play hide-and-seek with us under the sofa. If you suddenly stop looking for her, she will run out by herself and try to amuse you.
I always catch her in all kinds of strange poses with my camera. When I’m studying, she especially likes to sleep on my lecture notes. Later, I spread the lecture notes all over the table so that she can sleep wherever she wants.
There may be thousands of photos of her in my mobile phone. When I have nothing to do, I like to look through the photo album and recall her growth journey. It feels like raising a child. My boyfriend and I always hold her dear in our hearts. She might be the happiest cat, and also the happiest member of our family.
It’s really extremely happy and healing!
Warning: A lot of pictures ahead!
On the first day Haru (Mimisang) came to our home, she was so tiny. Because she was too small, I couldn’t clean her face thoroughly, and there were many tear stains on her face. Every day I used a cotton swab dipped in water to clean her. Of course, the process was extremely full of fun as we were always playing a little game of wits.
