It was probably about a month later that she finally accepted the reality and realized that Miumiu’s presence in the family was an irreversible fact. On a night that I can’t even remember when, the two of them were lying together and getting along really harmoniously.
However, the good times didn’t last long. Xiuxiu fell ill.
I took her to the hospital for an examination. Due to a low white blood cell count, the doctor suspected that she had feline panleukopenia. This scared me to death, and I was really worried that something might happen to her. The doctor instructed that I must isolate her from the other two cats, and it would be best if they weren’t in the same house.
This really put me in a difficult situation. The only option was my father’s house, but my father really dislikes animals and has opposed my keeping any animals since I was a child. But this was Xiuxiu! There was no other way. I braced myself and called my father to explain the situation. My father was very reluctant, but after I repeatedly promised that it would only be for a short time, he finally agreed. So I moved back to my father’s house with Xiuxiu.

It was obvious that she was quite curious about everything in my father’s house. But it seemed that she knew that except for me, no one in this house welcomed her. As I said before, she is a very smart cat. So she basically didn’t go to other rooms and just lay in the small area near my computer.
When I went to work, she would hide under the dining table by herself and wait for me to come back. I think she must have been very lonely at that time.
One night, I went to check on Yiqi and Miumiu and didn’t come home. When I got back from work the next day, as soon as she heard my voice, she rushed out meowing loudly and questioned me: Where have you been, the one who cleans my litter box?? Don’t you want me anymore??? Why didn’t you come back yesterday???
I had never heard Xiuxiu meow like this before. It was as if she had suffered a great grievance. So I asked my father: Did you bully her?
My father was confused and said that no one had bullied her. She just stayed there by herself all day and no one paid attention to her.
I picked up Xiuxiu and soothed her for a while. Then I seriously told her: Dad didn’t abandon you.
The rented house I lived in before had poor conditions. So taking advantage of the right time, place, and situation, I gave her a bath. She didn’t make any noise, but just asked me: You’ve finished giving me a bath! Where are the delicious treats, the delicious treats, the delicious treats?
There was no other way, so I gave her her favorite yogurt.
After she recovered from her illness, she could finally go home. During the time she stayed at my father’s house, I took good care of her, feeding her delicious food. I bought her high-quality cat food, cat cans, cooked chicken, cooked beef, and gave her whatever was delicious. As a result, when I weighed her before going home, not only didn’t she gain weight, but she even lost half a kilogram!
If Xiuxiu were a girl, she would probably be the envy of many girls.
