Regarding the purchase channel of my cat:
It was born after the mating of cats in an individual’s home (from Shenyang). It cost 1400 yuan plus 300 yuan for the shipping fee. Its grandparents and father all have CFA pedigree certification certificates.
Regarding the market price:
The prices of British Shorthair Silver Shaded cats vary widely. Sellers always say, “The specific price depends on the appearance.” But in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, the asking price is usually very high.
In my hometown (Harbin) or other Northeast Chinese cities, you can even buy one for less than 1000 yuan. However, in first-tier cities, whether in physical stores or on Taobao stores, the general starting price is around 3000 to 4000 yuan, and the average price is about 4500 yuan. It’s rare to find one for more than 3000 yuan.
I once chatted with a veterinarian from the Agricultural University. He told me, “Kittens from catteries and pet stores are relatively difficult to raise. Most of them may carry some diseases. Because in an environment with many cats, it’s very easy for viruses to spread and multiply. Even if the seller makes a lot of promises to you at that time, many diseases are just lurking and haven’t broken out yet.”

So here I recommend that if possible, it’s best to find a kitten bred by an individual’s cat that is reliable. In this way, the cat may be healthier. If you must choose a cattery, be sure to choose one that specializes in raising only one breed.
I wish everyone can buy a healthy and fated kitten. Finally, I’ll attach the issues to pay attention to when buying a cat:
Try to choose a cat that is about three months old to raise. A kitten as small as mine is relatively fragile in all aspects, and it takes a lot of effort to raise. 2. Before buying, you need to confirm with the seller whether the three vaccinations are complete, and whether there are ear mites, ringworm, or other diseases. 3. Regarding the selection of cats: For those who have requirements for appearance and breed, be sure to ask the seller for the real photos of the cat’s parents. In fact, at first glance, the appearance of kittens doesn’t differ much, and more than 90% of their future appearance is determined by genes (of course, there are cases where the cat is not well-fed and its appearance deteriorates). Also, pay attention to the cat’s vitality and eyesight, so that you can make a rough judgment on the cat’s health. 4. In terms of price: The pet industry is very complex. Remember not to be hasty in paying. Do more research. It’s not certain that the more money you spend, the better the cat will be.
That’s all I can think of for now. If there’s anything else I want to share with you later, I’ll directly update it above. Thank you all for your love for my cat. I’m very proud and happy ❤️

My cat is one and a half years old. Relatives and friends all say that it’s not as cute as before, but its bad temper remains the same. I think I still need to post a few photos for the friends who like Huanxiong to see how he’s doing now.
Why is this cat so angry…
