It’s been over a year, and Shiba is now a chubby little pig.
Finally, I have a British Shorthair Blue and White!
Around October last year, a girl from my Honor of Kings team posted photos of her British Shorthair Blue and White—beautiful and well-behaved. From then on, I was obsessed with the idea of having one.
Then, while browsing Zhihu, I came across this post and was captivated by the beauty of the cat named Taiyang. I thought to myself, “When I get one, I’ll definitely come back and share my story!”
And now, I finally have a British Shorthair Blue and White, hahahaha!
Below are lots of photos, and I’ll keep updating this post from time to time.

This was when I first saw him. He was only 10 days old and had just opened his eyes. I couldn’t tell at all what he would grow up to look like. The breeder said he was the youngest of the litter and the only one with a full white collar. By chance, I decided to take him.
In 2018, I finally had a cat. I hope that we, who will depend on each other in the future, can live forever and stay forever young.
So, I named him Shiba (meaning “eighteen”).

When Shiba was one month old, his eyes were still blue. When the breeder sent me photos, I almost couldn’t resist going to pick him up right away, haha.
When Shiba was two and a half months old, I finally brought him home. He was very skinny when he first arrived, all bones to the touch, and very timid. He hid in this corner all night, looking super pitiful.
Although everyone says not to force a cat, I didn’t want him to stay in the corner forever. I forcibly put him in a cage, hoping he’d get used to seeing everyone and feel less scared, but it didn’t seem to help much.
After two days, he stopped hiding all the time, so I let him meet Jiumei for the first time (Jiumei is a shaded silver cat who arrived half a month before Shiba, my roommate’s “daughter”).
Shiba was very hyper every day, basically jumping around all the time. He didn’t like being petted or held, and I started to think he hated humans.
Truly “fast as a rabbit.”
Occasionally, I could manage to pet him, haha. It was a mutual test.
He once stuck his head into my empty cup, not sure if he was trying to avoid me or the world. Of course, the most likely reason was that he was thirsty.
A climbing master—shoe boxes became his favorite spots.
He never used the soft cat bed but chewed up plenty of cardboard boxes.
He loves eating ham sausages but just doesn’t gain weight.
But with the right angle, you can pretend he’s a chubby cat.
“There’s something in the lens that looks just like me.”
Sprawled out.
After being home for over half a month, Shiba slowly started to move past his rebellious phase of running around like crazy. Occasionally, he could lie down quietly and ponder his cat life, and I finally managed to take some static photos of him.
Today’s dose of beauty—thank goodness for filters.
I posted this on my social media, and as expected, it gained a lot of fans. Secretly thrilled.

With two cats at home, they used to scare, chase, and harass each other when they first met. Now, they’ve finally learned to coexist peacefully.
But fighting is still part of their daily routine.
Shiba’s eyes full of despair.
Finally, a heartfelt bonus: The “girl’s parents” (my roommate) don’t want any romantic feelings to develop between them. From the “boy’s side,” it doesn’t matter—after all, they’re both destined to be neutered.
After getting a cat, my social media content became extremely monotonous, and I quickly established my “cat mom” persona. Many friends questioned me, saying I used to dislike cats. Well, life is full of surprises, haha. Besides, women are known to be fickle.
But girls, you still need to find a good boyfriend, or you might really get “sealed” by your cat.
Hehe.
