On May 7, 2018, a little baby was born—just around the time Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was released. There’s a fierce yet intelligent raptor named Blue in the movie, and I found her quite endearing, so I named this little baby Blue, or “Bulu” in Chinese. (Actually, we also have a silver shaded cat named Miaomiao at home, who has a super gentle personality. I thought all British Shorthairs were like that, but Blue turned out to be “true to his name”!)
First, let’s take a look at this charming video. From the start, I was fooled by his soft, adorable face and expressions.
Here’s a video of him at one month old, already showing signs of mischief (he hadn’t been brought home yet).
Haha, let’s interrupt for a moment~
Let me ramble a bit about Blue’s personality. He’s absolutely a mix of troublemaker, street ruffian, silly youth, and insatiable foodie—all rolled into one “great” personality! He often gets scolded for his behavior, but he never learns his lesson. Evidence as follows:

Once, I took him to the vet for vaccinations. According to the vet, all the British Shorthair Blue and Whites he’s seen have bold, feisty personalities.
He’s super rowdy. When he first came home, Miaomiao (who’s 10 months older and a little princess) would playfully swat at him. But this little rascal wasn’t scared at all. “Don’t underestimate my size, I’m not afraid to fight. Bring it on!”
To comfort Miaomiao, I would scold Blue in front of her every time they fought. But this guy holds no grudges. Right after being scolded, he’d come running to me for cuddles. It’s really hard to complain about that.
When he smells the nutritional paste, he’ll stand up and hug the tube, trying to shove it all into his mouth. When we’re eating, he loves to hang around the table, annoying us. No matter how many times we push him off, he’ll climb back up… Eventually, we have to lock him outside.
He loves sleeping with people, purring, and snoring (yes, actual snoring, not purring—once I was woken up in the middle of the night by his snores). He loves eating cat grass (but once he ate too much and threw up, so I never dared give him any again). He loves chasing and fighting with Miaomiao, fearless and cheeky, always being a little nuisance…
When he first came home, he was incredibly lively. Here’s a photo with our older cat, winning with his colorful fur?
Big, watery eyes and a soft, pink little nose.
The flowers at home were just ruined, ruined…
At home, he’s completely unrestrained, lying on his back with his little belly exposed…
Here are a few more cute photos. Only when looking up from below does he appear this adorable and innocent.
I’ve only taken him out for a walk once, and that day, my hands were covered in scratches from this little mouse! But at least we got some nice photos out of it…
Somehow, he suddenly grew up, and his fur became smoother. He’s starting to develop a “uncle face,” though it’s not too obvious yet… (At this point, he’s already evolving into an uncle!)
Feisty and fierce.
Hey, what are you two doing???
Actually, he’s been a little troublemaker since he was young. “Hit me if you dare…!”
Recent glamour shots—check out my little teeth~
Uh, this is the real uncle. Hello, uncle! Goodbye, uncle!
From uncle to chubby uncle, what are you guys doing…
Uh, what’s going on? Haven’t you seen such an adorable chubby cat before?
Careful, I’ll bite you! (At this point, he hadn’t lost his baby teeth yet—you can still see his four little milk teeth.)
Taking a little nap~
Usually, Miaomiao hangs out in the basin, so I wanted to see what it feels like…
Loves being held by mom—here’s a photo with her.
I’m a charming chubby cat~
Hmm, playing on the bed for a bit (this little guy often gets angry while playing, almost tearing the bedsheet…).
I’ll hide, then attack!
Here are a few photos with Miaomiao. She’s pretty, but I’m not bad either, hmph!
Finally, check out my sharp eyes and agile moves!
