Before adopting my blue-and-white cat, I had little interest in this breed. Previously, I’d only rescued strays—tabby, tabby-and-white, calico, and black cats—and my dream cat was an American Shorthair. However, fate intervened when a student’s family’s blue-and-white cat gave birth to kittens. Knowing my love for cats, they let me choose one.
The moment I saw my precious “Liu Liu” (clutching my chest in adoration), I was smitten. She’s only grown more enchanting with time, filling my days with overflowing happiness. I hold her like fragile treasure, nuzzling and kissing her, my heart melting entirely. Now, I declare blue-and-white cats the cutest in the world—though I’d say the same about my tabby-and-white (contradictory cat mom alert!).

Beyond her beauty, my blue-and-white has remarkable traits: her soft, fluffy fur is irresistibly comforting to stroke in winter; she’s independent most of the time but becomes clingy as a leech when she wants attention; and her hunting prowess is legendary—her British Shorthair ancestors did serve in battles. Any fly unlucky enough to enter my home faces a grisly fate: first, she bats it unconscious with her massive paws, then bats it around like a toy. I often urge her, “Just eat it already!” Meanwhile, her demeanor—accentuated by her big head—makes her unbearably adorable. I’m obsessed!
Snapshot moments:
Last night’s video screenshot: squeal My baby!
This week: She cuddled in my lap like a human infant.
A stray blue-and-white at a temple: Gorgeous, camera-ready, and affectionate—how could anyone abandon her?
Her quirks: Obsessed with plastic bags, insists on nesting in my suitcase before trips, and demands photo sessions with my new camera.
Pandemic memories: She’d nap on my arm during online classes, draining my “cuteness battery.”
Current favorite: Sleeping pressed against me. Swoons.
In short, owning a blue-and-white cat is pure joy. Of course, every cat I’ve ever had brought boundless happiness, but I’ll always choose feline companionship over human drama. They offer nothing but trust and love. Let’s chant: Thank you, cats!
