Love and Care: Pets and Their Owners' Stories

Love and Care: Pets and Their Owners’ Stories

Now he has a 9 – month – old dog. Since the dog had canine distemper when it was a puppy, its teeth are in poor condition. It might lose all its teeth in two or three years. He brought the dog to the hospital this time to get its teeth cleaned. As he was talking, he stroked the dog affectionately. He also mentioned that his family didn’t support him in keeping the dog, thinking it was troublesome. Only he and his daughter liked it. But since he earned his own money, even if his parents disagreed, there was nothing they could do. There was a hint of pride in his tone. I just kept nodding.

People who love animals never show any dislike when talking about their pets. Even if it takes a lot of time to walk the dog, even if it has bad teeth and is difficult to take care of, even if it has diarrhea from time to time and it costs money to give it medicine and take it to the doctor. Because these are the kids they’ve carefully nurtured, and all they hope for is that the pets can be healthy and play happily every day.

I was so angry when Qibao with diarrhea and poop on her body jumped onto my bed. But when she tilted her head and gave me a cute look, my anger just vanished. Well, there’s no reason. I just love her.

I’m commemorating Qibao’s first physical examination. She’s in great health. I don’t even mind spending a few hundred dollars on it. I hope she can accompany me for a long time and live care – freely as a little princess.

In the cold winter, this middle – aged woman who’s afraid of death has started an essential part of winter health preservation: soaking feet. As my little shadow, Qibao is always where I am. So, accompanying me while I soak my feet has been added to Qibao’s daily routine. As soon as she sees me start, she’ll jump onto the chair by herself and find a comfortable place to curl up behind me. She’ll stay with me as long as I soak my feet. It’s so sweet of her.

Her problem of having soft stools persists. Her stomach gets upset as soon as the weather turns cold. Every day, I have to check if her paws are soiled with poop or if she has diarrhea. I feel like a bit of a “gentleman” for checking a little girl cat’s behind so often… Please come back, sun. I can’t stand this weather anymore.

I’ve found out the reason. The recurring soft stools that won’t get better are because she has trichomoniasis.

I feel a bit self – reproachful…

I’ve paid another “stupid tax” again…
