This evening, I was happy as I bought Peking duck pancakes, planning to enjoy them all by myself. Just as the take – out arrived, Qibao had diarrhea. With poop on her paw, she ran around. I didn’t even get to eat a single pancake before taking her to wash her paw. After cleaning her up, I washed my hands several times before I dared to eat.
I don’t mind her shedding hair like crazy. There’s always cat hair on my bed every day.
I love the occasional look of disdain in her eyes.
I’m keen on dressing her up with collars and clothes, but she hardly ever wears them. She seems to feel restricted, so after she gives me a cute look, I’ll just put them away.
She loves playing games with me. It’s basically a game where I chase her, and if I catch her, she’ll let me stroke her. She likes to interact with people (only me, the cat owner). When she’s alone at home, she’s very lazy and just sleeps all day. The cat bed is just for show, and the scratching post is her real home.

I’ve rambled on for so long. All I can say is that I’m really glad to have met her, to give her a home, and it has also made me a better person. My heart has become softer and I’m less sharp – edged.
During my long solo journey through life, there’s this little elf who gets excited when she sees me and waits for me to come home.
I didn’t get a cat because I was lonely, but because of you, I’m no longer lonely.
Recently, after seeing so many cases of pets getting lost or being abandoned, I think those furry kids who are given up by their families are so pitiful.
I hope that everyone who keeps a pet loves their furry kids not out of impulse or curiosity, but can give them long – lasting love.
Because they love you so simply and devotedly.
Update
Today, I took Qibao for a physical examination and had a chat with a gentleman who brought his dog.
He said that when he was a child, someone next – door stole a Persian cat. It had pure – white fur on its back and blue eyes. It was so beautiful that he couldn’t help but secretly stroke it. The cat was very docile and didn’t bite him. Seeing that he wasn’t bitten, the neighbor asked him to put a rope around the cat’s neck. He didn’t know what they were up to, so he just did as they said. Later, he found out that these people wanted to eat the cat meat and were going to hang it alive. It took a full three hours for the cat to stop struggling. He said that he was young at that time and didn’t know what he was doing, but the scene was still vivid in his mind even after more than twenty years. His tone was very sad.
