The Growth, Health and Daily Life of My Cat, Diandian

Do I look like Tom? – No, you look like a table lamp~

Diandian’s ringworm lasted for nearly three months. On May 28, 2018, the doctor finally said that the Elizabethan collar could be removed. Diandian, without the Elizabethan collar, was extremely agile. The happy little chubby cat ran freely around the house.

The travel carrier is very heavy. I would carry Diandian in a schoolbag to pick up Xiaofeng from work. I opened a hole in the schoolbag so that it could see the scenery along the way. Although it was timid, it couldn’t resist its curiosity. The way it poked its head out was extremely cute.

Due to work, we have very little time to accompany it, and it has become prone to sudden loud meowing. Sometimes when I’m sleeping in bed, it might have just woken up and not seen anyone, so it rushes to the living room and meows loudly. When I call it, it huffs and puffs into the room and squats at the end of the bed looking at me. I say, “Diandian, come here, mom will stroke you,” and it immediately jumps onto the bedside stool asking to be stroked. It remembers the footsteps of my boyfriend and me. As soon as we get home, it will rush to the door and wait. Sometimes we play a trick and deliberately don’t open the door, and it will scratch the door and meow softly, urging us to come in quickly.

Diandian is already over two years old. I’ve always felt that it doesn’t walk as gracefully as other cats. It walks like a horse, and it really likes the “uncle sitting posture”. It’s not as agile as other cats either. It doesn’t dare to jump to high places, and its paws are very sensitive and it doesn’t like others to touch them. So I’ve always been worried that it might get osteochondrodysplasia. Also, cats are very good at enduring pain, and by the time the symptoms are discovered, it might already be in great pain. In addition, seeing the comments saying that I didn’t pay much attention to the osteochondrodysplasia problem of fold – eared cats, I took this opportunity to take it to the pet hospital for a CT scan.

After the doctor’s examination, it was said that I should pay attention to calcium supplementation and let it get more sunlight. There were no other problems. It’s a healthy cat with a standard body shape.

I didn’t expect that after such a long time, I’m here to update again.
