The Growth and Adorable Antics of My Pet Cat

The Growth and Adorable Antics of My Pet Cat

My “son” (my pet cat) has been in my home for one and a half months. From the initial discomfort and illness to now being a crazy little guy.

When I first brought him back, he was just over two months old.

When he first came, his body was as big as my palm.

Since the cattery is in a different city from me, he temporarily stayed at my friend’s home. My friend’s cat is named Baozi, a quiet and pretty “girl”. He stayed at my friend’s home for five days in total. In the first three days, Baozi kept hissing at my “son” as a warning, and sometimes even raised her little paw as if to hit him. But in the end, the two of them, oh no, the two cats actually developed such a bond.

He was timid by nature. In the cattery, he didn’t even dare to jump the height of the cage while his brother was jumping around happily. Then, when I brought him back at only two months old, he had all kinds of discomforts at home. First, he had a runny nose and a lot of eye discharge every day. I had to keep wiping it, otherwise, his eyes couldn’t even open.

After a few days, he started sneezing and had a cold. I bought pediatric amoxicillin from the pharmacy and fed it to him. It was orange – flavored and smelled really good. After a few more days, he had ringworm in many parts of his body. I had never raised a cat before and was really afraid that he wouldn’t survive. I was looking forward to each day passing quickly so that he could get better soon.

After about a month like this, he gradually got completely better. When he first came, he liked to sleep beside my pillow every day. Twice, I had nightmares that the door was open and he ran out and got lost. I woke up in the middle of the night scared. When I touched the side of the pillow and found that he was still there, I felt so relieved.

Later, I always thought my “son” had some IQ issues. For example, he often did things like this.

He often forgot to retract his tongue after licking his fur.

Occasionally, he would come up with some strange poses.

Like a little rabbit.

Like Little Red Riding Hood.

Like a primary school student.

Looking into the distance, thinking about “cat life”.

Being cute is the norm, and there are countless sleeping postures.

But soon he will outgrow this basket.

He follows me everywhere every day. I don’t even have privacy when I go to the toilet.

I laugh at him many times a day. He can eat and sleep well and is really funny.

Recently, he’s in the teething stage. He doesn’t like the teething stick and prefers to chew on my hands and feet.

He can still be normal sometimes, a quiet and handsome “guy”.
