In my home, the Siamese cat Girl is always full of surprises, and even her appearance at different times of the day shows amazing differences. During the day, traces of light grayish – brown can still be seen on Girl. When the sunlight shines on her, the faint light color contrasts with the gradually darkening fur, giving her a unique charm. When taking pictures with a camera, the soft – focus effect further softens the blackness of her fur, making her look as cute as when she first came to my home, as if time has slowed down for her.
However, when night falls, Girl seems to transform into a different cat. Under the indoor lights, her dark fur becomes even more intense. Her deep eyes, staring straight at me, often make me wonder if she’s casting some mysterious “spell” on me. Or perhaps, there’s a hint of “disdain” in her eyes, as if expressing dissatisfaction with some of my actions, looking down on me. Even so, seeing her proud and haughty expression, I still feel a sense of pride and contentment, thinking to myself, “Hmph, I have a cat!” This pride and satisfaction of having Girl by my side are indescribable.

Girl is not only a lovely companion in my life but also a little supervisor during my work. At that time, I often took on overseas projects, and working late into the night became the norm. Every long night, Girl would quietly stay by my side. Sometimes she would lie peacefully on my desk, watching me busy at the computer; other times she would jump onto my lap and gently rub her head against my hand, as if reminding me to take a break. With her company, the originally dull and tiring overtime hours became warm and pleasant.
However, as the “cat master,” how could Girl not show her “dignity”? As a result, there are always some “little incidents” at home. The beautifully arranged flowers in the living room are often knocked over by her; my beloved dresses can’t escape her “claws” and end up with pulled threads; even the tissues on the table are pulled out in large quantities and scattered all over the floor when I’m not looking. But every time I see her innocent and cute eyes, I can’t help but forgive her, thinking in my heart, “It’s definitely not the kitten’s fault. Girl is so cute.”
My attentive care and love for Girl have also won her heartfelt response. The most surprising thing is that she actually helps me take care of my child. Since the new member joined our family – my child, Girl seems to have a new mission. When the child is playing, she will quietly stay by his side, her eyes full of concern; when the child is sleeping, she will gently jump onto the crib and curl up beside the child, as if guarding this little life.
Girl, in her unique way, adds countless colors to my life through the alternation of day and night and the bits and pieces of work and life. Her mischievousness, her gentle companionship, and her loving interaction with the child have all become the most precious memories in my life. In the days to come, I look forward to continuing to write more warm and interesting stories with Girl. No matter how her appearance changes, she will always be the most unique Girl in my heart.
