In my life, Harry Deer is a special existence. This feline master with a rather elaborate name has, since coming into my life, completely transformed my daily rhythm in its unique way and brought me countless joys and warmth.
The most endearing yet exasperating trait of Harry Deer is its love for “hide – and – seek”. Searching for it has become a daily routine in my life. On several occasions, I’ve scoured every corner of the house but couldn’t find a trace of it. Panic would instantly set in, and I’d think it was really lost. I’d shout its name desperately, but it would stay silent as if deliberately teasing me. While I was in a frenzy of worry, it would be hiding somewhere, secretly amused. Only when I finally found it would my heart settle, but then I’d be so annoyed by its naughtiness that my head would ache.

Besides its fondness for hiding, Harry Deer is also an out – and – out “sleeping champion”. It sleeps in the most diverse and comical postures. Sometimes it lies on its back with all four limbs spread out, revealing its soft belly; other times it curls up into a fluffy ball and nests in the corner of the sofa; and at times it lies on the windowsill, adjusting its position as the sunlight moves. After waking up, it heads straight for the food bowl, devouring the cat food ravenously. Once it’s had its fill, it plunges into its “crazy play mode”.
When it comes to “crazy play”, Harry Deer can really drive one crazy. It has a particular obsession with the sofa at home. Despite having a scratching post prepared for it, it simply ignores it and instead uses its sharp claws to scratch and tear at the sofa. In no time, the sofa is left with numerous scratches. When it’s exhausted from its wild play, it immediately turns into a “clingy kitten”, coming over to me, rubbing its little head against me non – stop, and acting cute to get a hug. Once I pick it up, it lies quietly on me and soon falls asleep, snoring away as if it wasn’t the “destructive king” just moments ago.
Since I started raising Harry Deer, my life has changed dramatically. As a Siamese cat, it always wakes up very early, and since I’m used to sleeping with it, I’m woken up at around four or five o’clock every morning. After it wakes up, it starts grooming itself beside me, and the soft sounds it makes are particularly clear in the quiet morning, making it impossible for me to go back to sleep. Reluctantly, I get up, feed it first, and then clean the litter box. Watching it play mischievously around the house after a good meal, instead of feeling annoyed, I’m filled with joy. I willingly follow it around, keeping an eye on it, afraid that it might get hurt.
Siamese cats are well – known for being naughty and clingy, and Harry Deer is no exception. It always depends on me closely. Whenever it realizes I’m not around, it will search the whole house for me. Sometimes, when I go to the kitchen to cook, it will stand guard at the kitchen door, meowing from time to time as if to say, “Master, why aren’t you coming out to play with me?” Moreover, I’ve heard that as Siamese cats grow older, their fur color gradually darkens and their faces become “darker”. Looking at the cute and fresh – faced Harry Deer now, I can’t help but want to keep it warm, hoping to slow down the process of it “darkening”.
Harry Deer is like a “little troublemaker”, constantly creating all sorts of “messes”, but behind these “troubles” lies an abundance of sweetness and concern. With its naughtiness and clinginess, it has filled my life and made me understand the meaning of companionship. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with Harry Deer in the days to come. No matter what it looks like in the future, it will always be my dearest feline master.
