Boxun: The “Demon King” in the World of Siamese Cats

The moment Boxun, this young Siamese cat, stepped into my home, I truly realized that my life was about to be completely turned upside down. I had originally thought that raising cats was all the same, but this Siamese cat, with its unique “demon king” temperament, shattered all my preconceived notions about cats and embarked me on a wonderful journey full of surprises and challenges.

I still remember the day I brought Boxun home. After more than three hours of driving, unlike other cats that might have been scared into a ball and would hide upon arriving at a new place, being fearful of the unfamiliar environment and even refusing to eat or drink, Boxun was completely different. As soon as it got home, it couldn’t wait to rush out of the cage, like a king returning from a battle, eager to claim its territory immediately. First, it drank goat milk in big gulps and then gobbled up cat food, looking extremely hungry yet fearless, not at all like a kitten in a new place.

After satisfying its hunger, Boxun began its “inspection” of the new home. It paced confidently around the house, dashing from the living room to the bedroom, and then leaping onto the balcony.”This will be my domain from now on!” Watching it run around the house, I couldn’t help but feel that it was the “boss” of this home. What’s more astonishing is that it entertained itself in the cat litter box for over two hours, chasing its tail at times and pouncing on small toys at others, with an astonishing amount of energy. At that moment, I truly understood that I had brought home not an ordinary kitten, but a vibrant, tough, and naughty “little demon king.”

As we spent more time together, Boxun’s naughtiness became even more evident. It would suddenly jump onto my desk while I was working and mess up the files I had neatly arranged with its paws. In the dead of night, it would go on a rampage in the house, and the sound of it jumping around often shattered the tranquility of the night. It would also make a mess of the green plants I had just bought, with soil from the flowerpots scattered everywhere. Facing its “mischievous deeds,” I often felt annoyed and amused at the same time. But looking into its innocent and lively eyes, all my complaints would vanish instantly.

Although Boxun is naughty, it also has its adorable side. When it gets tired from playing, it will quietly curl up at my feet, purring evenly. Sometimes it will suddenly jump onto my lap and rub its little head against my hand, acting coquettishly. When I’m feeling down, it seems to sense my unhappiness and will silently stay by my side, comforting me with its warm body.

Naming Boxun “Boxun” was indeed because of the “demon king” – like aura it showed when it first arrived. But now I realize that this name doesn’t just represent its naughtiness; it also symbolizes the vitality and changes it has brought to my life. It’s like a little sun, illuminating my otherwise ordinary life with its enthusiasm and uniqueness.

Although I sometimes complain about why I listened to others and bought a Siamese cat, deep down, I’m extremely grateful for Boxun’s arrival. It has allowed me to experience a different kind of fun in cat – raising and made me understand that every cat has its own unique personality and charm. In the days to come, I look forward to continuing to match wits with this “little demon king” and also anticipate more unexpected joys and warmth from it.
