Raising a Siamese cat is truly an extraordinary experience. One of the most obvious changes is that the number of photos of your cat on your phone will steadily increase, soon surpassing the quantity of your own selfies. You’ll find yourself looking at those pictures at any time, wearing a warm, motherly smile, and can’t wait to introduce to everyone how smart, cute, handsome, warm – hearted, and intelligent your “October” is.
Let me start with a not – so – perfect picture. On December 29th, when October first arrived at my friend’s place, I took a screenshot during a video call with her.
Now, let’s get to the main story. I left my cat at my friend’s home on December 29th. At that time, I was still at school. I came back from school on January 7th, and my little cat, October, came home with me.
When I first saw him, I thought he was so tiny and skinny. However, his temper was extremely good, and he wasn’t afraid of people at all. As soon as he got home, he started running around the house. Unlike some cats that hide under the sofa and refuse to come out, he seemed more eager to explore every corner of the house, leaving no nook or cranny unexamined. It was as if he was trying to make this place his own as quickly as possible.

It’s only been ten days since I started raising him, but he has already become extremely clingy to me. Every night, he must sleep with me, and he wakes up whenever I do.
Here’s a touching story. If he sees my mom wake up and start moving around at six o’clock in the morning, he will jump off my bed and go to my mom to ask for food. He never wakes me up when he’s hungry if I’m still sleeping. Sometimes on weekends, when I sleep in until ten o’clock, he will sleep with me until then. Even if I wake up in the middle and talk to him, as long as I don’t get out of bed, he won’t urge me to feed him. He just stays obediently by my side. Every time he wants to sleep, he runs to the side of my pillow, meows at me once, and when I lift the quilt, he crawls in and falls asleep.
October is really well – behaved, but he also has his naughty moments. For example, when I’m working on something in front of the computer, he will jump onto my computer and walk randomly on the keyboard. I’ve told him many times not to do that, but it doesn’t work. So, I hand him over to my mom, and my mom holds him to sleep. After a while, I open the door to go to the living room to drink water and talk to my mom. As soon as he hears my voice, he immediately jumps off my mom’s lap and runs towards me. I quickly close the door. Later, my mom told me that after I closed the door, he just squatted in front of my door, waiting for me to open it. When my mom carried him away, he turned his head towards the direction of my door and fell asleep. It’s so heartwarming.
October has brought so much joy and warmth to my life. His every move, whether it’s his cute antics or his affectionate gestures, has become an important part of my daily life. I look forward to more days and nights spent with this little furry friend, creating countless precious memories together.
