It seems that most Siamese cats aren’t interested in human food, but mine is an exception. Just like the saying goes, “like owner, like pet.” Since I’m fond of snacks, my Siamese cat also loves to lick them. This little habit of his always brings a smile to my face, creating a special bond between us through our shared “love” for something as simple as snacks.
Siamese cats are known for their rich emotional nature, and my cat is no different. He’s just like that kind of friend in human relationships. If you make him angry, he might be really mad at the moment. However, after a while, when you stop paying attention to him, he’ll come right back, meowing and rubbing against you. His love for me is so evident. Whenever he likes me, he’ll find every possible way to get close, jumping onto my lap and lying there comfortably. Initially, according to his previous family, he didn’t like being held. But after raising him for about two months, he started allowing me to hold him. Instead of struggling to escape, he would purr contentedly, filling the air with a warm and soothing sound.

He’s extremely perceptive and good at reading my expressions. There was a period when he would meow loudly every night. It wasn’t because of being in heat as he had already been neutered. I was really furious. I shouted at him and even used a hanger to drive him away. After that, he stopped his nightly racket. Now, every day around 11 p.m., he’ll lie on the bed, waiting to warm the bed for me.
This morning, when I went to the bathroom, he jumped to a high place and accidentally knocked a cup off the table on his way down. When I came out, I found him hiding on the bed, secretly peeking at me. At first, I was about to scold him, but seeing his guilty – looking face, my heart softened, and I decided to let it go.
Another amazing thing about him is that he can open doors. I witnessed it with my own eyes. He gently used his front paws to push open a door that wasn’t closed tightly. First, he would stick his head out to check if I was around. If he didn’t see me, he would then come out, looking so clever and a bit mischievous.
Overall, he’s a wonderful companion, but there’s one little drawback – he’s extremely vocal. When I’m in the bathroom, he’ll meow so loudly and desperately that I can hardly focus on using my phone. When I come home, his meowing volume lessens a bit, but he still runs towards me while meowing, as if he’s been waiting for me all day and has so much to “tell” me.
During the National Day holiday, I had to work part – time and came home at nine o’clock every night. As soon as he heard my footsteps, he would start meowing. Strangely, he wasn’t afraid of me at all. He would even squat under the chair and meow at me loudly. At that moment, I felt a bit guilty, thinking that I didn’t spend enough time with him.
During the winter vacation, I couldn’t take him with me, so I had to leave him in a foster family for a month. After a short while, he got sick, and I was extremely worried. Thankfully, it wasn’t too serious. While there, he even chased the two cats in the foster family around. But he was very friendly to humans. Eventually, the girl in the foster family had to keep him in a separate room so that he could have his own space. The foster girl and her boyfriend took good care of him, applying medicine to him every day. I’m really grateful to the foster family for their kindness and patience.
Now, my dear cat is at home. I wonder what he’s up to. He’s so affectionate, and I’m really glad that I chose him. Every day with him is full of surprises and warm moments. Whether it’s his cute antics, like trying to open the door, or his affectionate gestures, such as jumping onto my lap, they all make my life more colorful. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with him in the future, cherishing every moment we spend together.
