In our lives, there are often some unexpected little beauties that quietly come, and Ersha, this lovely cat, is that special surprise in our family.
My wife has always had a special love for cats. Before having a cat, that love perhaps more stayed in the imagination. But when it really came to raising a cat, she would unconsciously complain about the possible troubles of raising a cat. However, in fact, I know that her love for cats is deep in her heart. And I originally had a folded – ear tabby cat. I named it Dasha. Dasha was extremely cute and well – behaved. But unfortunately, due to job changes, I had to reluctantly give it away. I was full of reluctance during that time.
My wife and I are in a long – distance relationship. Because her family doesn’t allow keeping cats, so this year, when she got married to me, her only requirement was to raise a cat of our own. At first, I had my heart set on raising a Bengal cat, a Maine Coon, or a pure – black cat. In my eyes, they were handsome and unique. But my wife thought these cats looked too much like wild beasts. Plus, I’m away from home all year round due to work, and she simply dared not raise them alone. So, we turned our attention to cute cats like American Shorthairs and Ragdolls.

Fate is so wonderful. When we first saw Ersha, we were instantly attracted to it. At that time, Ersha was only over two months old, with a small body and a fluffy appearance. Its cute look was simply irresistible. Its eyes were bright and clear, shining with a curious light, and every move was full of endless cuteness. We immediately decided on the spot that this little cat was the family member we had been looking for. It was our Ersha.
When we first brought Ersha home, it slept for a whole day, which really scared us. We thought it was sick. However, the next day, it seemed to turn into a different cat, showing extremely strong energy. It started to be naughty at home, jumping up and down, and making a mess of the house. It jumped onto the table for a while and then got under the sofa for a while, as if it was full of the desire to explore every corner of this new home. My mother saw its appearance and couldn’t help but tease: “This is not raising a cat at all. It’s simply raising a dog that looks like a cat!”
Cutting Ersha’s nails became a big problem for us. This little guy especially loves to jump on people, and it doesn’t know how to retract its claws. My wife and I often have scratches on our bodies left by it. Moreover, when Ersha first came, it suffered from ear mites. I was not at home at that time, and my wife tried every means to treat it. She even took out her own skirt and carefully wrapped Ersha, and then dropped medicine for it. Under my wife’s careful care, Ersha’s ear mites healed quickly.
Ersha is really very clingy. Whenever we lie on the sofa or in bed, it will always come over immediately and lie down next to us, enjoying the time of being close to us. It will also walk around on us, looking as if it is the master of this territory and is patrolling its kingdom. The earrings and necklaces we wear also often become the objects of its curious exploration and will be bitten by it from time to time. Although it can be naughty occasionally, we never really get angry because every move of it is full of innocence and cuteness.
Now, Ersha has become an indispensable part of our family. It has brought countless joys to our originally plain life, and every moment of getting along with it is full of warmth and laughter. We watch it grow up day by day, from a small cute creature to becoming more lively and clever, and our hearts are full of joy. I sincerely hope that Ersha can always grow up healthily and happily and continue to accompany us through more beautiful times, because it is no longer just a cat, but the most precious treasure in our family.
