My experience of raising a Siamese cat is like having a puppy at home, and it’s truly an incredibly lovely journey.
This Siamese cat of mine is extremely naughty and also extremely clingy. I adopted her when she was over one year old. She was unwanted by others and so skinny that she was just skin and bones. At that time, I was really in a dilemma. As a student, I was worried that I couldn’t take good care of her, and I was also afraid that my family wouldn’t accept her. However, during that period, I would watch cats on Douyin every day, virtually “absorbing cat energy.” With my boyfriend constantly persuading me, I finally decided to adopt her. On the first day I brought her home, she was extremely well – behaved. (In fact, she was too hungry to move.)
Now, she has become the “boss” at home and beats people every day! I have been raising her for six months, and she has grown from 2.7 pounds to 7.5 pounds. Now, all I hope is that she can accompany me for a very long time. Also, she has used up all my New Year’s money and pocket money! The cost of raising a cat is quite high! The cat food she eats is more expensive than my meals! And Siamese cats have a big appetite! As she gets fatter day by day, I’m getting thinner.

On the first day I brought her back, she accompanied me while I was reading. That day, she slept obediently in her nest on her own as soon as she got home. She was really, really thin at that time, weighing only about 2.7 pounds. Sometimes I think that if I had been cruel – hearted and not taken her in, she might have died. The video I took on the first day she got home was sent to my friends.
My family has also accepted her. After all, this little clever one is very good at pretending to be pitiful. Even though my parents get bitten by her every day, they still love her very much. Now, here are some pictures of her current appearance. She looks very sleepy while accompanying me to watch TV. Once, when I was lying on the bed playing with my phone and she was quiet for a long time, when I turned around, I didn’t know how long she had been staring at me like that. When I was doing my homework and a little bird flew by outside the window, she stared at it intently. Now, she has become a big fat cat, and she’s still a female cat less than two years old! She even waits outside the toilet when I’m using it. She really loves this rabbit and has to be next to it every day. Look at her silly sleeping posture, with her belly hanging out. It seems like she’s smiling in her dream. Her name is Xigua, and she’s really a “pig.” Every day when I get home, she waits for me at the door. When I took her to get spayed, she was so fierce that the doctor had to lock her up. After getting spayed, she has been getting fatter and fatter!
Finally, I want to say that if you plan to raise a small animal, you must be responsible. Don’t buy one on a whim and then regret it or abandon it. In our community, there’s a family on the second floor that raises a British Shorthair. In the cold winter, they left the cat outside the window. The gaps in the anti – theft net are so big. Every time I pass by, I’m worried that the cat will fall. When the winter was almost over, I never saw that cat again.
