Stinky Mimi: The "Little Troublemaker" and Great Joy in Our Family

Stinky Mimi: The “Little Troublemaker” and Great Joy in Our Family

In our lives, there is a little guy named Stinky Mimi, a Siamese cat. When it comes to him, it really makes me love and “hate” at the same time.

Some time ago, Stinky Mimi had a skin disease, which really gave me a hard time. Every day, I had to apply medicine to him, constantly pay attention to whether he licked the wound, and put an Elizabethan collar on him to prevent him from scratching. During those days, I felt like a 24 – hour – on – call nurse, always mentally tense. I was really exhausted. Sometimes, a trace of regret would emerge in my heart, thinking that raising him might have brought me too much trouble. He was so noisy on weekdays, always being naughty and really annoying.

However, when I calm down and think about it, the joy that Stinky Mimi has brought to us far exceeds those troubles. Siamese cats are really spiritual. It seems that he can understand all the joys and sorrows of the owner. Whenever I am in a low mood and sitting alone in the corner, he will always quietly jump onto my lap, rub my hand with his furry head, and purr softly in his throat, as if saying to me, “Master, don’t be unhappy. I’m here with you.” At that moment, all my troubles will be healed by his small actions.

When Stinky Mimi first came to our music store, he was still a thin and small male cat, looking timid and pitiful. Who would have thought that this little guy was actually a “little smarty – pants”, as if he had become a spirit. He learned to open fish packages and cat food bags by himself. As soon as we were not paying attention, he would quickly tear open the packaging and start feasting. Looking at the mess on the ground and his greasy – mouthed appearance, it was really annoying and funny at the same time. With the help of his “stealing food” skills, soon, he grew from a thin kitten into a chubby big cat.

The meowing of this cat is also very special. It doesn’t meow like an ordinary cat.Sometimes it really sounds like a little dog. Every time he meows like this, I can’t help but tease that I suspect he grew up with Er Gou Dan next door and was led astray. Moreover, he is extremely greedy. His desire for delicious food has almost reached a “crazy” level. That sound is full of resentment, as if accusing me, the “heartless” owner, of abusing him.

Although Stinky Mimi has many problems, being naughty, gluttonous, and always causing various small troubles, in our hearts, he is a unique existence. Every small action of his and every special meow has been deeply integrated into our lives. Even though he is sometimes stinky, for example, when he just comes back from playing outside or when there is the smell of food left on his mouth after stealing food, we still love him as always. He will always be our dearest Stinky Mimi, an indispensable source of joy in our lives. Those days spent with him, whether full of troubles or laughter, have become the most precious memories.
