The Wonderful Differences in the Behavioral Patterns of Cats NONO and Beibei

In my warm little home, NONO and Beibei, these two cats, with their unique behavioral patterns, bring countless surprises and challenges to life, and also weave many unforgettable stories.

Beibei is simply the “naughty one” at home, just like the mischievous kid in “Home Alone”. Originally, there were trash cans placed everywhere in the house, in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room, for the convenience of daily garbage disposal. But ever since Beibei arrived, everything has changed. It seems to have a special “obsession” with trash cans, always eagerly rummaging through them, often tipping over the trash cans and scattering the garbage all over the floor, creating a messy scene that is extremely headache – causing to clean up. Helplessly, I had to put away all the trash cans and hang a plastic bag by the kitchen sink to throw away garbage at any time. I would rather take the trouble myself than face that messy situation again.

When it comes to drinking water, the behaviors of these two cats are even more puzzling. The automatic water dispenser carefully prepared for them, with clean water flowing out, doesn’t seem to arouse much of their interest. Big NONO often squats by the toilet, sticking its butt out, fishing for water in the toilet with its paws to drink. That look is really funny. And Beibei, when there is water in the basin for a bath, has a great attraction to it and can’t help but take a few sips. They seem to have a special preference for those “unexpected” sources of water.

The cats’ ability to open doors also amazes me. The cabinet doors upstairs and downstairs in the house have to be carefully closed or locked. Otherwise, with their “capabilities”, they can easily open the sliding doors and then hide in the cabinets and not come out. When the cabinets are opened again, there will already be cat hair all over the place, which is very labor – intensive to clean up. Big NONO also has a headache – causing habit. It especially likes to scratch lace – textured clothes. It has already ruined several of my beloved clothes. Whenever I see the clothes that have been scratched beyond recognition, I really feel both angry and amused.

Because cats have soft bodies, as people often say, “Cats are made of water”, they can always skillfully hide in some unexpected places. Several times, when I got home, I couldn’t find the cats anywhere. I was extremely anxious and searched everywhere, but to no avail. Finally, I found that on cold days, they had actually jumped to the top layer of the cloakroom. Especially Beibei, the Siamese cat, with its face as black as coal, hiding in the dark, if you don’t look carefully, you simply can’t find it. It’s like a “chameleon among cats”, bringing me a lot of “illusions of not being able to find the cat”.

NONO and Beibei have completely different behavioral patterns, but they are both deeply integrated into my life. Beibei’s mischievousness and NONO’s unique quirks, although sometimes they bother me, bring a lot of fun to the ordinary life. They freely show their personalities in this home, with all kinds of wonderful behaviors, making every day of mine full of freshness and making me more deeply feel the unique charm of these small animals, cats.
