In this fast – paced modern life, pets often become a source of comfort for people’s souls. My good friend has two lovely Siamese cats. Last weekend, I had the honor to visit these two little guys at her home and captured many lovely moments of them with my camera.
My friend loves these two cats as deeply as she loves her family members, which makes me very curious. You know, my friend is an extremely clean – loving person. In my opinion, raising cats must be much harder for her than for ordinary people. However, she never gets tired of it. What on earth is the reason behind this? What kind of unique experience is it to raise Siamese cats? With these questions in mind, I had an in – depth discussion with her and carefully recorded the whole process of our conversation. I hope this can give everyone a clear understanding of raising Siamese cats and help them make full preparations for welcoming these lovely little lives.
When I asked her when she started raising these two cats, my friend fell into memories. It was in 2016 when her health was not very good. During that somewhat gloomy period, a friend brought her Beibei, a cute Siamese cat. To bring Beibei to her side, her friend drove all the way from Nanchang to Jiujiang and then brought Beibei to her home. Before Beibei arrived, she specifically consulted her son, who was still abroad and also had a Siamese cat at that time, to carefully understand what was needed to raise a cat.
Out of anticipation and attention for the new member, she quickly bought all the necessary items for raising a cat, such as a litter box, a cat climbing frame, a cat bed, cat litter, cat food, cat cans, nail clippers, etc., and carefully placed them at home, waiting joyfully for Beibei’s arrival. On November 15, 2016, a special day, Beibei came to its new home, and this day happened to be its 100 – day birthday. Facing this completely strange environment, little Beibei showed a strong sense of curiosity. Contrary to the common belief that cats will immediately hide when they come to a new environment, it sniffed around the house and even jumped directly onto my friend, as if eager to get the attention of this new “mommy”. At that time, my friend still maintained her usual clean – loving habit and instinctively picked up Beibei and gently placed it in the litter box. Surprisingly, Beibei was very smart. Maybe because it was a bit impatient after sitting in the car for most of the day, it actually peed in the litter box. My friend couldn’t help but exclaim that Beibei knew so quickly that this was the place for it to go to the toilet!
Later, my friend’s son returned to the country and brought back another Siamese cat, NONO. NONO was a bit bigger in size than Beibei and, of course, a bit older. When the two cats first met, they chased each other around the house and had a great fight. But soon, they became inseparable companions. Every day, they would play together on the cat climbing frame, chasing and frolicking with each other; lie together in the soft cat bed, lazily enjoying the sunshine; and rub against their owner’s feet, acting cute and asking for strokes. My friend said that seeing the two of them being so close made her feel extremely warm. The arrival of Beibei and NONO not only added a lot of vitality and energy to her home but also gave her endless company and comfort during the days when she was not in good health.
During the conversation with my friend, I gradually understood that although raising Siamese cats requires more energy and patience, such as cleaning the cat litter every day, regularly grooming their fur, and paying attention to their diet and health, the love and company that cats give to their owners are immeasurable. Every cute move and every gentle meow of theirs can instantly dispel the haze in the owner’s heart and make life more beautiful. This is perhaps the reason why my friend never gets tired of raising these two Siamese cats, and it is also the real reason why many people fall in love with raising cats. I hope that through this story, more people can understand the cuteness and uniqueness of Siamese cats, provide some useful reference for those who want to raise cats, and start a warm journey accompanied by cats.
