In my life, there is a special “little friend” whom I affectionately call the Little Chubby One, but actually, he is not fat at all. The first time I met him, the scene is still vividly imprinted in my mind. On that day, I saw him lying on the bed, sleeping soundly. His small body was tinged with a faint yellow color, and his fluffy fur made him look just like a fluffy, frizzy ball. At that moment, my heart sank, and I thought to myself: Oh no, why did I buy a cat that looks a bit ugly?
I hailed a taxi and carefully took him home. Throughout the journey, he was extremely scared and clung tightly to my shoulder, refusing to let go. Every sound from the outside world made him both curious and fearful. I put him in a small bag and held him gently in my arms. Perhaps feeling my warmth and security, he gradually relaxed and fell asleep just like that.
The Little Chubby One is a real sleepyhead. At first, I thought it was because he was young and needed more sleep. Later, I realized that this was actually in his nature. His life is simple and pure, consisting of eating, sleeping, and pooping. When he was a little kitten, he was simply a troublemaker. When it was time for a meal, he insisted on jumping onto the table, as if eating on the table made the food more delicious. When it came to sleeping, he had to get onto the bed and find the most comfortable spot to doze off. What was even more amusing was that he couldn’t wipe his own bottom after using the litter box. When he was full, he liked to run around the house, releasing his boundless energy. When he wasn’t full, he would keep meowing loudly, as if protesting to me. At that time, he was just like a naughty and willful little girl, making me love him and feel helpless at the same time.

There is a photo that I think captures his most adorable moment. In the photo, he looks at me with the most tender eyes, full of dependence and trust, which melts my heart. As time passed, the Little Chubby One grew up gradually. He was no longer the tiny fur ball he used to be. His fur became whiter and whiter, which is quite different from the impression that Siamese cats usually get darker as they grow. The way he looks at me is not as affectionate and eager as when he was a kitten, but I know that his love for me has never changed. As the saying goes, those who were ugly when they were young will become good – looking when they grow up, and the Little Chubby One has indeed proven this. Now, he is handsome and cute.
One day, I took him to meet my friend’s dog, Ferrari. I thought he might be a bit timid, but unexpectedly, he was even fiercer than the dog. When we got to my friend’s house, he unceremoniously lay on the bed and slept comfortably for an afternoon. Surprisingly, he held his poop and urine, as if he had become much more sensible all of a sudden. Since then, I’ve noticed that he has really grown up and is no longer the little troublemaker he used to be.
The Little Chubby One still loves sleeping as much as before. As long as I’m at home, he will skillfully climb onto my lap and find a comfortable position to lie down. As he grows older, he has also gained more weight, and now I can hardly hold him with both hands. When it’s time for a meal, he likes to sit on someone’s lap, his eyes fixed on the chicken, duck, fish, and meat on the table, his gaze full of longing. But he no longer climbs onto the table unreasonably like he did when he was a kitten. Instead, he sits obediently on the lap, waiting for me to share some of the delicious food with him. I often joke that he should be of the “omnivorous” type because he likes to eat almost everything.
Sometimes, there are some interesting “conversations” between him and me. For example, I would pretend to be angry and say, “Give me back my clothes.” And he would lie there lazily, as if replying to me, “I’m too sleepy.” Looking at his lazy appearance, I can’t help but burst out laughing.
Little Chubby One, you are the most precious gift in my life. This family photo records the wonderful time we’ve spent together. Mom and Dad will always love you. Thank you for coming into my life and bringing me endless joy and warmth with your company and love. I hope that in the days to come, we can always be together and spend many more beautiful moments.
