In my ordinary yet somewhat eventful life, there is a special cat. She is like a warm glimmer, illuminating every corner of my heart. She is an eight – month – old cat with charming chocolate – colored fur. Although some people might jokingly say she looks a bit “ugly – cute”, in my eyes, she is the most adorable treasure in the world.
In winter, her fur becomes even more fluffy, like a furry little ball. Her fuzzy appearance is extremely cute. Whenever I sit on the sofa watching TV or scrolling through videos, she always nestles beside me obediently, staring at the screen intently with her eyes wide open. Her focused look makes it seem as if she can really understand. Every day when I come home from work and open the door to see her small figure running towards me cheerfully, it is the most anticipated moment of my day. And every weekend, spending lazy and cozy time with her is the happiest expectation of my week.
This clever little fellow has not only learned the fetching skill but also recently successfully mastered the shaking – hands skill under the temptation of snacks. She is like a mischievous little elf, always bringing me unexpected surprises. However, life is not always smooth sailing. Some time ago, I had to undergo surgery due to sinusitis and stayed in the hospital for over a week. During this period, I was full of worries about her at home. When I got home after being discharged from the hospital, I was heartbroken to see that she had lost a lot of weight. Comparing the photos taken before and after my hospitalization, the contrast made my eyes turn red. So, I immediately moved back home. Even though I was wearing a thick mask, I restarted the happy life of eating, drinking, playing, and sleeping with her.
She is like my caring little cotton – padded jacket, always by my side. Whether I am drawing at the desk or walking around the room, she always follows me closely. She will jump onto me and gently “comb” my hair with her soft little paws. Although I often joke that she is showing her “sovereignty”, my heart is filled with sweetness. As soon as I open the bedroom door, she will eagerly jump into my arms and purr. That sound, as if it has magical power, can instantly dispel all the fatigue and troubles in my heart. It is the most healing sound I have ever heard.
Looking back on the decision to raise a cat, I especially want to thank classmate Li for his full support. When I was in a poor mental state, this lovely cat came to my side. Her appearance is like a miraculous special medicine, making me no longer rely on those anti – anxiety and anti – depression drugs. The adults around may think that I spend too much time and energy on her, but they will never understand that the warmth, companionship, and comfort she gives me far exceed everything I have done for her.
Now, my “Dog Duo” (my affectionate name for her) is about to celebrate her first birthday. In this year, she has accompanied me through countless days of laughter and tears. With her love and companionship, she has healed the wounds in my heart and made me feel the beauty and warmth of life again. I am full of anticipation for the future days, hoping that she can always grow up healthily and happily. To celebrate her birthday, I specially stocked up a lot of delicious food for her during the Double Eleven shopping spree, just hoping to see her eat happily and play joyfully.
In this complicated world, she is my little lucky charm, the most precious gift in my life. I am extremely grateful for her appearance and look forward to creating more beautiful memories with her and accompanying her through every spring, summer, autumn, and winter in the future.
