On April 30th, a sunny day, I brought Coalball, oops, Chestnut, home. At that time, she was only one and a half months old. She wasn’t extremely black, but she had an incredibly loud meow, as if she was announcing her arrival to the world.
As soon as Chestnut arrived home, she showed her unique “exploration spirit”. She scurried around my room. Who would have thought that she dug out a mouse – trap sticky board that had been forgotten in the corner for over a year. When I found her, she was stuck and couldn’t move, struggling with her small body and making pitiful meows. At that moment, my heart was in my throat, and I was so anxious that tears almost came out. I felt both distressed and angry. But after calming down, I knew it was all my fault for not tidying up these dangerous items. Fortunately, after some careful handling, Chestnut was okay, but her appearance became rather comical, with glue all over her body. That was probably the ugliest moment in her cat life.
However, this didn’t affect Chestnut’s naughtiness and clinginess at all. Every day when I come home from work, as soon as I open the door, I can hear her cheerful meows. She will quickly run to my feet, circle around me non – stop, and then skillfully jump onto my shoulder, rubbing her head under my neck as if to say, “Master, you’re finally back. I missed you so much!” At that moment, all the fatigue of the day dissipates instantly.

Chestnut can also be very naughty. She can be called a “paper – tearing maniac”. As long as I’m not paying attention, the paper on the table will fall victim to her “claws”. She grabs the paper tightly with her little paws and then tries her best to tear it. Soon, pieces of paper will be flying all over the place. At the same time, she is also an out – and – out “glutton”. Every time I hold a snack bag, her ears will immediately perk up, and her eyes will stare straight at the food in my hand, meowing pitifully. Her appearance makes it really hard to say no.
Once, she made a mistake and messed up what I had just tidied up. I couldn’t help but scold her gently and gave her a few light pats. She seemed to know that she had done something wrong, with her head drooping, and she sneaked away to hide in the corner. I secretly peeked over and saw her huddled up, with her eyes glancing in my direction from time to time. Her aggrieved and cute appearance made me lose my temper immediately, and I couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
Chestnut, although you are naughty sometimes and you have your ugly moments, you have long become an indispensable part of my life. Your naughtiness has brought me endless joy, and your clinginess has made me feel full of warmth. I hope that in the days to come, we can always be together and create more beautiful memories.
