My Adorable and Extremely Black Siamese Cat

My Adorable and Extremely Black Siamese Cat

My Siamese cat is so incredibly black that it seems as if it has come straight from Africa. Its blackness is truly astonishing. Every time relatives come to our house, the first thing they say is always in surprise: “Oh, why has your Dandan become even blacker?” Its black color is such that no matter whether it’s spring, summer, autumn, or winter, and regardless of whether you’re wearing a short – sleeved shirt or a padded jacket, it can absorb sunlight like a super absorber of melanin, and its extreme blackness never changes. I often think that perhaps this is its deep love for me. Just like me, after being exposed to the sun, we both turn dark. Thinking of this, I’m really touched to the point of crying.

My Siamese cat has an extremely lively and naughty personality. It is both clingy and smart, and it’s very good at being cute. Sometimes, it’s like a little shadow, following me wherever I go, constantly rubbing against my feet and making soft “meowing” sounds, as if saying, “Master, play with me.” But when it doesn’t want to pay attention to me, even if I shout its name at the top of my lungs, it will pretend not to hear and continue playing on its own. Its arrogant little appearance really makes me angry and amused at the same time.

It also has a habit that makes me both worried and amused. It will suddenly start its “crazy running mode” at irregular times throughout the day, jumping up and down and running around the house. It runs as fast as a gust of wind. Every time I see it like this, I’m very worried that it will accidentally bump into furniture or walls and hurt itself. But it enjoys this crazy running and the happiness it brings.

When it comes to its daily life, I have to mention its persistence in going to bed. Originally, my mother had somewhat acquiesced to it sleeping on the bed, turning a blind eye. However, one day it actually carried a palm – sized spider onto the bed, which scared my mother terribly. Since then, it completely lost the right to sleep on the bed. But it’s not willing to give up. It still tries to sneak onto the bed from time to time. It usually jumps onto the bed carefully from the foot of the bed and first observes my mother’s reaction. If my mother ignores it, it will walk forward step by step like an elegant model walking the catwalk. When it reaches near my mother’s elbow, it will lie down as if to say, “I’ll just lie here for a while and won’t disturb you.” But if it’s glared at by my mother during this process, it will immediately lie down on the spot, knowing when to stop. Its ability to read people’s expressions is even better than mine. It really makes me admire and find it cute at the same time.

It has a great interest in things like popsicle sticks and straws. It loves them to death. Every time it sees these things, its eyes light up with excitement as if it has discovered a treasure. It not only likes to play with them but also runs to rummage through the trash can, takes out the popsicle sticks and straws inside, and then happily plays with them for a long time. Its focused look while playing is really hilarious.

What makes it even more likable is that it has an extremely good temper. No matter how hard I kiss it, it never gets angry. Instead, it will enjoy it with its eyes squinted, making a purring sound. Its gentle appearance really makes me love it even more.

With the company of this Siamese cat, my life has become extremely happy and fulfilling. It’s like my little sun, bringing me warmth and joy every day. Although it’s sometimes naughty and makes me headache, it’s precisely these little episodes that make our life more interesting. I truly think that Siamese cats are animals that need a lot of human companionship. Therefore, I want to remind those friends who plan to raise Siamese cats that before making a decision, they must carefully consider whether they have enough patience and time to accompany them. Because they are not just pets but also our partners in life, and they need us to care for and love them with our hearts.
