My dear feline friend, Coxon, has truly become the center of my world. From the moment he entered my life, he has filled it with an abundance of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Coxon is incredibly clingy. He has a special affinity for sleeping on my neck. Every night, he snuggles up there as if it’s his most comfortable spot. When he’s really enjoying his slumber, he starts licking my earlobe. It’s a rather ticklish sensation, and I often have to gently push him away four or five times in my sleep before he gives up. As soon as I get home, he can’t contain his excitement. He rubs against me vigorously and even jumps onto my shoulders. If I’ve just washed my hair, he seems to think it’s his duty to “help” me groom by licking my hair.

However, Coxon also has a rather fiery temper, especially when it comes to his sleep. One time, I accidentally woke him up while petting him. In an instant, his fur stood on end, and he was so angry that he lashed out at me. But when I’m the one asleep, he often takes leisurely walks on my face. It’s a strange but endearing way of showing his presence. Even when passing by a mirror, he sometimes gets startled by his own reflection, his fur bristling, and he walks past with a funny sideways gait, as if he’s offended by his own appearance. It always makes me laugh.
Like all cats, Coxon has an irresistible urge to claim my computer as his own. Whenever I’m trying to work, he jumps right onto the keyboard, making it impossible for me to type. His expressions are also incredibly entertaining. There are times when he has this constipated – looking face, which is both hilarious and a bit concerning. And then there are his peculiar habits, like eating his own feet or gently nibbling on my hand. When he’s in a calm mood, his bites are so gentle, and he’s really affectionate.
When Coxon gets angry, it’s quite a sight. His ears flatten back into the classic “airplane ears” position, and in the next second, he pounces towards whatever has irritated him, which is often my hand if I’ve accidentally done something to displease him. Despite his occasional outbursts, he can be surprisingly cooperative when it comes to taking selfies, though not always.
One of the most unexpected things about Coxon is his love for carrots. Even if I offer him a raw carrot directly, he gobbles it up with great enthusiasm. It’s not a typical cat food, but he seems to have developed a unique taste for it. He also has these moments of pure silliness, like when he forgets to retract his tongue, looking utterly adorable.
He lies on my stomach, acting as a warm, non – electric hot water bottle, providing a comforting warmth that soothes my pain.
In conclusion, Coxon is not just a cat; he’s an irreplaceable part of my life. His quirks, his clinginess, and his occasional temper tantrums all add to his charm. I’m truly lucky to have such a wonderful and unique feline friend by my side.
