Chuhe is a cat with an extremely timid personality. It took me half a year of raising him before I could finally hold him in my arms. Moreover, his memory is rather short. When his “dad” came home after being hospitalized for ten days, Chuhe didn’t recognize him anymore [facepalm]. One moment he would be carried over to me and then he would go looking for his “dad”, and whenever his “dad” got close, he would run and hide. It was truly a painful experience to be taking care of the cats, cleaning up their poop and urine, but not being able to cuddle them as I wished.
So, during that period, I felt so lonely…
However, as Dangwu gradually became more composed, it became much easier to cut his nails and clean his ears. It seems that Chuhe somehow awakened Dangwu’s latent “nanny” traits. He often cleans Chuhe’s ears, which actually reduces my workload. I can even brush his teeth all by myself now.

As Dangwu grew older, he became darker and darker. I really haven’t shaved his fur, and we live in the southern part of the country. Orz
The number of cats in our family has been increasing. Dangwu has transformed from a lively and agile little “fox” into a steady and sturdy “mutt”.
It seems that once he accepted the arrival of the “third cat” (Chuhe), it became much easier for him to accept the fourth, fifth, sixth… Not only has Dangwu’s “nanny” trait remained, but it seems to have even gained a bit of a “maternal glow” [just kidding].
Now, with nine cats in the house, I only need to clean Dangwu’s ears. He used to be really fond of playing with paper balls. Now, if I crumple up a paper ball and throw it on the ground, and he sees other cats playing with it, he won’t join in, as if he thinks an adult shouldn’t compete with the “kids”. But if I separate him and give him the paper ball, he will play happily. He used to be the “big parent” among the cats. But when Saki arrived, he was hit by Datou and was stunned for a long time. Since then, he often fought with Datou but couldn’t win.
Now, his back looks like a charred piece of charcoal, and although he weighs twelve pounds, he has a body full of muscle lumps.
But sometimes, I can still discover Dangwu’s charm.
Dangwu’s biggest problem is that he doesn’t like to drink water. When he drinks too little water, he gets “heated up” inside, and his eyes turn red.
But this hasn’t happened for a long time now. I’ve summed up a lot of little tricks to make cats drink more water:
How to Increase a Cat’s Water Intake
Dangwu is also very afraid of the cold. When it gets cold, he will curl up in his cat bed, and he will only eat his cat food if I bring it right to the entrance of the cat bed. But he is also very clean. When I put clothes on him in winter, he feels that his body is dirty, and since he can’t lick himself clean, he gets uncomfortable and will try all sorts of ways to take the clothes off.
When it’s cold, he likes to crawl into my quilt because there’s an electric blanket on my side of the bed (my husband thinks the electric blanket is too hot).
My husband even bought clothes for Dangwu himself. The pink one is really eye – catching.
Dangwu also “cutely” [not really] sticks out his tongue sometimes.
Dangwu really likes to jump onto people’s shoulders. Anytime, anywhere. Even when someone is pooping…
Dangwu has recently grown to 12.5 pounds, so I’ve been urging his “dad” to take him to climb the stairs to lose weight.
However……
There are always people who mistake Dangwu for a dog.

He does really look like a dog – something like a mixed breed of a German Shepherd.
So, Dangwu has another nickname, “Dangwu Dog”.
Finally, it’s time to end this. I’ve been writing all day.
Let’s end with a family photo.
I also hope that Dangwu will always be healthy, never get sick, not cause trouble, not be picky about food, and love his “mom” a little more~
Finally, I hope all of you who have read this far will give me a thumbs up!!!
