In my life, there is a Siamese cat named Zai Zai who has brought an endless stream of laughter and warmth.
Zai Zai’s appearance has undergone an amazing transformation. Initially, he had a rather dark – colored fur. But under the daily sunshine in a tourist city in Sichuan, he surprisingly turned white! And not just a little bit white, but extremely white. Along with that, he has grown round and chubby. He spends his days eating and drinking to his heart’s content. Moreover, he has learned the fetch game all by himself. Every night, he will come to you, whining softly, with a pink ball in his mouth, asking you to throw it. Then he will run to pick it up, over and over again, “throw – pick up, throw – pick up”.
However, like many male cats, Zai Zai had a rather funny habit of licking his private parts. To prevent any potential health issues and control his behavior, I decided to take him to get neutered. After the operation, he became quite gloomy and listless, completely losing his usual lively demeanor.

To provide a better living environment for Zai Zai, I rented a house near the school. Now, Zai Zai shares the same room with Kai Kai, my Golden Retriever. At first, Zai Zai really disliked Kai Kai. After all, there was suddenly another pet competing for my attention, and Kai Kai played rather rough. But as time passed, their relationship has become somewhat harmonious, with a sense of… well, it’s hard to define. Maybe a bit of a brotherly feeling? Or perhaps still a bit of an adversarial relationship?
Whenever Kai Kai wants to play, Zai Zai will quickly run away and hide. But when Kai Kai falls asleep or gets distracted by something else, Zai Zai will bravely approach, step on Kai Kai’s head, bite his tail, and then dash away, which always makes me burst into laughter. One morning, Zai Zai found a “defensive fortress” and invented a new game with Kai Kai. They were having a great time running around, but eventually, something unexpected happened, and their game ended in chaos, just like a ship capsizing, which was really hilarious.
Siamese cats like Zai Zai are truly unique. They have no typical “cat – like” reserve. They are extremely clingy and mischievous. Zai Zai only meows pitifully when he is hungry or needs something from you. But there was a moment that really made me deeply fall in love with him. One drowsy morning, Zai Zai gently and carefully brought his face close and tenderly licked my eyebrows. At that instant, he was like an angel, touching my heart with his warmth.
Raising a Siamese cat like Zai Zai has indeed added countless joys to my life. You never know what kind of surprise he will bring you the next moment. His every move, whether it’s his naughty antics or his rare moments of tenderness, has become an integral part of my daily life. I will definitely share more stories about Zai Zai and Kai Kai in the future, as they are not just pets to me, but family members who bring me so much love and laughter.
