It was the first time in my life that I seriously edited an answer on Zhihu. I never expected to receive likes and replies.
Thank you all for your concern. I won’t mention the hospital that misdiagnosed my cat before. It was a pet clinic that cured my cat. The doctor who treated them has the Weibo name “The Unrestrained Spoon”.
Well, at that time, I really had no other options. I was looking at the reputation on Weibo and accidentally came across this doctor. It was probably the luckiest thing that happened to me in 2015… He is really a great doctor. He put a lot of effort into treating Heizi, and he even became Heizi’s godfather.
This cat has really gone through a lot with me. The summary of 2015 for me was just full of bad luck! Pfft, let’s not talk about it!
After listening to the elders saying that taking a bath could get rid of bad luck during the New Year’s Eve, I took a bath out of superstition and ended up having a cold for a week!
Our 2016 indeed started to be lucky! Haha!

As my best friend said…
God won’t treat me and my cat any worse…
Don’t worry, brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts~ We are working hard to get better~
The little female cat May May’s eyes have recovered very well and already have that sparkling effect~
Heizi has also gained weight to nine catties and three taels!! Although there is always snot on its nose…
It was just a simple case of feline calicivirus, but due to misdiagnosis and delay, it was on the verge of death. Actually, I was more angry than heartbroken. But from beginning to end, I didn’t lose my temper at the hospital. At first, I just wanted to cure the cat and accumulate good deeds for it. Later, I thought about it, no one would intentionally want to kill your cat. I can only say that I didn’t do enough research when choosing the hospital.
Here, I’d like to share a few small pieces of experience.
First, when taking your pet to see a doctor, you must do your research. Look at other people’s cases. Although you can’t delay treating the illness, it’s very important to find a doctor with good clinical experience!
Second, all medicine has some toxicity. When you go to the hospital, they often ask you to pay for injections, infusions, medications, and ointments right away. They even recommended some top – notch imported eye ointments. As a result, the not – so – serious kitten had an allergic reaction to it. When we changed to the clinic, Heizi’s godfather first induced it to eat and observed it. Only when it didn’t eat did he do a biochemical test to see if its liver was damaged. Sure enough… The misdiagnosis had injured its internal organs… Now in the recovery stage, Heizi just sneezes and we haven’t used any other medications. It’s a real tough guy! With its tenacious spirit, it’s rebuilding its resistance on its own!
You can really tell if a doctor is good! When Heizi’s godfather first saw the dying Heizi… A handsome and passionate doctor said…
“Which bastard treated this cat?!”
The misdiagnosing hospital said Heizi didn’t cooperate and even bit people. But when we came here, it didn’t even dodge during nebulization and wasn’t afraid of injections. It trusts the doctor very much, acts cute, shows its belly and asks for a belly rub…
I sometimes think, if you didn’t do something to it, how could it resist you, be afraid of you and even bite you for no reason?
Third, never share an apartment with others when you have a pet. Even if the other person also has a pet, don’t do it, except for friends. Seriously… That month was really terrifying… I don’t know if you’ve heard about the news of someone abusing cats in the house. Sharing an apartment may cause problems. It’s not that it’s completely impossible, but for the sake of yourself, your cat and others, try to avoid sharing an apartment.
Thank you all for your attention~ The three of us will live well with our thick skins~ I wish you all the best. Good night.
