The Transformation of a Cat with Ringworm

The Transformation of a Cat with Ringworm

On March 20th, I unexpectedly “adopted” a special little cat. At that time, its appearance was pitiful, with ringworm all over its body. Concerned about its health, I immediately took it to the hospital, hoping to conduct a comprehensive examination to see if it had any other diseases besides ringworm. The examination results came out soon. Looking at those examination reports, my heart tightened. It turned out that this little cat, weighing less than one – pound, was not only suffering from ringworm but also infected with coccidia in its body. It’s hard to imagine that at a stage when a kitten should be at its cutest, it had to endure so much pain. The doctor told me that although it looked tiny, it was actually two months old. However, due to health problems, its growth and development were significantly lagging behind.

The next day, on March 21st, I carefully observed it and found that the distribution of ringworm on its face was very strange. The ringworm on one side of its face was like a ferocious scar, ruining the cute face it might have had originally; the ringworm on its nose was like a prominent mole, looking out of place; the ringworm above its eyes was even more exaggerated, looking like two thick eyebrows, making its appearance a bit strange and even giving a sense of being “eerie”, completely lacking the cute look of an ordinary kitten. I gently stroked it and secretly made up my mind to help it overcome the disease and regain its health.

In the following days, I launched a “battle” against ringworm and coccidia. Every day, I would apply the ointment for treating ringworm on time, carefully ensuring that the ointment did not irritate its skin. To supplement its nutrition and enhance its resistance, I carefully selected high – quality cat food suitable for kittens and would occasionally feed it some nutritional paste. For the medicine to treat coccidia, I also strictly followed the doctor’s instructions and fed it on time and in the right amount. During this process, the little cat was very obedient. Although it might not understand the significance of these medicines and foods for it, every time I fed it medicine or applied the ointment, it just looked at me quietly without any resistance. Its trusting eyes made me even more determined to cure it.

Day by day, the little cat was gradually changing. Its body gradually gained strength, and it began to explore everywhere in the house, no longer huddled in the corner weakly as it did when it first came. As time passed, the ringworm also began to improve slowly. On May 12th, when I looked at it carefully again, I could hardly believe my eyes. The little cat in front of me had completely changed its appearance and showed amazing beauty. Its fur, which was rough due to ringworm originally, now became soft and smooth, shining with a healthy luster in the sun; most of the areas on its face that were once occupied by ringworm had returned to their original pink skin. Only a small black dot remained on its nose, which was the mark left by ringworm. I gently applied a drop of hydrogen peroxide to it, hoping it could recover completely. Its eyes were bright and clear, showing a lively look, and there was no trace of its previous sickly appearance. Looking at its current appearance, I felt sincerely gratified. All my efforts had paid off at this moment. This little cat proved to me with its transformation that life is so tenacious. As long as love and care are given, miracles will happen. I know that in the days to come, it will continue to grow healthily and happily, bringing me more surprises and warmth.
