When looking for a cat to be a new member of the family, I initially selected one by watching videos. At that time, I had a special preference for cats with white – patched fur. I thought their appearance with white and other coat colors interspersed was extremely cute. However, unfortunately, the store I often visited no longer had such cats. Just when I was a bit disappointed, I immediately took a fancy to my current “big brother” at home – Pangduo. When I saw its photo at that time, its chubby appearance attracted me instantly. Without hesitation, I spent 2,200 yuan to bring it home. To be honest, at that time, I didn’t really understand the price range of cats and didn’t bother to worry about whether I bought it at an overpriced rate. I just felt that it was fate, and it was the one. As it turns out, my choice was extremely correct because Pangduo is now very well – behaved and especially clingy, bringing me countless joys.
Pangduo has its own unique way of communication, which is one of the most interesting things about it. When I call its name, it always responds to me. Unlike other meowing cats, Pangduo only makes sounds like “Ah~” and “En~”, which sounds like an old man talking to me. Every time I hear its response, I can’t help laughing. It seems to be communicating with me in its own language, making me feel a special bond between us.
Pangduo also has a cute “little habit”. It can be called the “guardian of the toilet”. Every time I enter the toilet, it always follows me in and then stays quietly aside, as if guarding me. Sometimes when I stay in the toilet for a long time, it will “remind” me with its unique voice, as if saying, “Why haven’t you come out yet?” It is also very interesting when it is in a daze. Its eyes stare blankly at a certain place, and I don’t know what big cat – life events it is thinking about. Once I saw that it was so sleepy that its eyelids were fighting, but it was still holding on, looking like “I’m asleep, I’m faking it”, which made me feel both distressed and funny. Its little appearance seemed to prove to me that it wasn’t sleepy at all, but in fact, it fell asleep with a snore soon after.
Pangduo especially likes to be close to me. It will actively jump onto my lap, find a comfortable position to lie down, and then start enjoying the strokes from me. It will rub its head against my hand and make a contented purring sound. Its appearance is extremely cozy. We often stay close to each other like this, spending warm afternoons together.
However, Pangduo can also be naughty. I have installed a screen – door at home. Once, this curious chubby cat explored on its own and managed to squeeze through. Since there was a lot of unwashed dust on the screen, when I found it, it had successfully been promoted to the “foreman of the coal – digging workers”. Its whole face and body were covered with dust, looking extremely funny. When I brought it back and was about to wipe its face, it looked extremely wronged, as if saying that none of this was its fault. Looking at its innocent little eyes, I was really angry and amused at the same time, and could only helplessly clean it up.
Although Pangduo occasionally causes a little trouble, its well – behaved, clingy nature and those cute actions have long made it an indispensable part of my life. The joy it brings me far exceeds everything else. I’m very glad that I chose it back then. It is the most precious treasure in my life. Every day with it is full of surprises and warmth.
