My Adorable Cat, Baicai: A Bundle of Joy and Surprises

My Adorable Cat, Baicai: A Bundle of Joy and Surprises

My cat, Baicai, is truly a special presence in my life, and she has brought me countless moments of joy and laughter. Last night, I managed to secretly capture a photo of this “fairy cat” while she was using the litter box. She had such a serious expression on her face. I couldn’t help but laugh, though I was a bit worried that she might scratch me for invading her privacy!

Today is Monday, and I wish everyone a full of vitality day. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to all the lovely people who have followed me and liked my posts. It really means a lot to me.

Recently, I came across a video in my photo album of Baicai drinking water when she first came to my home. At that time, she might have just been weaned not long ago, and she often made the kneading motion, which is so cute. It’s really interesting to look back on those early days.

Let me share some of my experiences at the Asia Pet Expo last Saturday. It was my first time seeing so many people dragging large and small suitcases around the exhibition hall. Those young girls were really dedicated to their beloved pets. I was queuing up to get some health products for Baicai at the expo. The scene was really crowded. I just want to emphasize the large number of people there, so please don’t criticize my not – so – good photos. In the end, I didn’t get much at the scene. I did get several cat teaser wands and some trial packs of cat food. As for the canned food, it wasn’t as cheap as buying it through group buying online, so I didn’t purchase any.

On Sunday, I took Baicai to get her second vaccine shot and also did the deworming. She resisted, but it was no use. She was “held back by fate” with all four paws. When we got home, I opened a new can of food for her. After she was full, she started to get active. These days, she even accompanies me when I watch competitions. Her back view is so captivating that I can’t take my eyes off her.

I never thought that my first answer on Zhihu would be because of my dear Baicai. Baicai has only been at my home for two weeks. She was born from an unexpected pregnancy of my classmate’s cat. She is now over two months old. Maybe it’s because she’s still young, but she’s extremely naughty. I bought her some small toy mice, and she broke two of them within five minutes. I can’t help but wonder if I’ve actually adopted a monkey in a cat’s body! I’ve heard that as she grows up, she won’t be this naughty anymore and will just lie around lazily.

Every day, around three or four in the morning, when she wakes up, she starts her “parkour” session. She runs so fast that it seems like there’s a gust of wind behind her. Sometimes, she even jumps from the head of the bed onto my face and pats my face with her paws to wake me up. I feel so helpless like a poor “old father.”

Despite her naughtiness, Baicai is incredibly clingy. Every morning when I leave the house, she meows pitifully. And even before I open the door when I come home, she can sense my return and starts meowing again. When I’m at home, she follows me everywhere I go. When I go to the bathroom, she stands guard at the door. Maybe she’s afraid that I’ll be “washed away” just like her poop!

It’s almost time to get off work now, and I’m really eager to go home and see Baicai. I’ll update more about her later. I’ll also attach some beautiful photos of Baicai. She has truly become an important part of my life, and I can’t wait to create more precious memories with her in the future.
