Ruanruan: My Adorable and Heart – warming Cat

In my life, there is a cat like a little angel, and its name is Ruanruan. Its arrival is like a warm beam of light, illuminating every corner of my life.

Ruanruan was given to me by a friend during my first job. It came from a litter of kittens born to my friend’s big cat. When I first saw it, it was already over six months old. It was very small, not even as long as half of my arm. My friend said that among that litter of kittens, it was the smallest, with a delicate and soft body, so it was named Ruanruan, also known as Little Dot. Perhaps because it looked a bit malnourished (in fact, it was very healthy) by nature, it had not been chosen by anyone. Looking at its small appearance, I never thought that it would become an indispensable part of my life and a close family member with me.

When Ruanruan first entered the house, it was one year and one month old. At that time, it was very alert. As soon as there was a little noise outside the house, it would immediately stand up. However, it adapted to the new environment quite quickly. In about one day, it no longer hid in the corner and began to carefully explore this new home. It has a unique “double – standard” character, that is, I can be clingy to you, but you can’t be clingy to me. Every day when I come home from work, it is the most active time for it. From the moment I enter the door, it will happily run over and rub against my legs. After I put my things away, it will lie down on the ground, revealing its round belly, as if saying, “Come and touch me quickly!” However, this “benefit” usually only lasts for about 30 seconds. After that, it will run away proudly and continue to explore its little world.

Ruanruan also has many interesting little habits. It especially likes to drill into the wardrobe. It often “steals clothes” in the wardrobe and hides itself in the pile of clothes, as if that is its secret base. Every time I open the wardrobe and see its small figure hiding among the clothes, I feel both angry and amused. Its sleeping posture is also very special. It likes to cover its face when sleeping, as if playing hide – and – seek with the world. It is also keen on climbing high. Its figure can be seen in various high places at home. It always stands high, observing everything around with a commanding look, quite like a “cat boss”.

The most heart – melting moment for me is when Ruanruan asks me for food. It will open its big eyes and meow at me non – stop, and it will also wink at you from time to time. Its cute appearance makes it impossible for me to refuse its request. Whenever I sit cross – legged on the sofa, it will seize the opportunity to jump up nimbly and lie in the gap of my knee bend, nestling comfortably, as if that is the most comfortable place in the world.

Time flies. Ruanruan has been with me for half a year. Recently, I weighed it and was pleasantly surprised to find that it has finally gained a little weight. Looking back at the time when it first entered the house, I was in a state of being tortured to the verge of collapse by the client. The work pressure made me extremely tired. However, whenever I saw Ruanruan’s cute appearance, all my bad temper would disappear instantly. It is like a healing little angel, smoothing away my inner anxiety and fatigue with its innocence and cuteness.

Later, there were some small episodes in Ruanruan’s life. On July 15, 2019, I sent it to be mated. I originally thought it would be aloof for a day or two. Unexpectedly, the night after I sent it there, the next night, someone sent a video saying that it had been mated, and it had been mated twice. This surprised me and made me laugh. I couldn’t help but tease it, “Where is your reserve?” However, two and a half months after the mating, I didn’t become a “grandma” because it had a false pregnancy. This small accident also added an interesting memory to our lives.

By June 16, 2020, I had raised Ruanruan for one year and ten months. It became more and more clingy to me, like a child, asking for hugs, touches, and attention. For it, I think I really have a motherly attitude now. And on June 19, 2020, Ruanruan (referred to as “Big Boss” earlier in the text, presumably the same cat) gave birth to kittens. This is undoubtedly a huge surprise, making our lives more colorful.

The existence of Ruanruan has filled my life with laughter and warmth. Every little movement and every expression of it are deeply engraved in my heart. I am very grateful to my friend for sending it to me. I also look forward to spending more wonderful times with it and its kittens, witnessing their growth, and harvesting more joy and touch.
