My Two Adorable Silver – Shaded Cats: Moko and Doubao

In my life, there are two extremely cute little guys. They are two silver – shaded cats I bought from a pet store in Beijing, siblings from the same litter. When I brought them home, they were only three months old. Most of the cats in that pet store are imported from abroad. They have excellent genes and were carefully cared for when they were young, so their physical qualities are very good.

Let’s first get to know the little princess, Miss Moko. Moko has a very proud personality. She never takes the initiative to be clingy and doesn’t like to get close to people. Whoever tries to hold her will find that she tries every means to break free and run away. When she was a kitten, she especially liked to watch me sleep. Every time I opened my eyes, I could always see her sitting quietly on the pillow, staring at me intently. But as she grew up slowly, she was no longer as dependent on me, her “old mother”, as she was when she was a kitten. At most, she would accompany me to sleep beside my feet or on the pillow. As a little female cat, Moko has a particularly good touch, being soft and cute. She especially likes to get into the bed. Once in the bed, she likes to lie beside my legs. That soft and warm feeling is really like being in a gentle and cozy place.

Moko also likes to accompany me to have breakfast. Whenever I have a meal, she will obediently lie beside me, quietly accompanying me. She has excellent jumping ability and can often be found on the top of various wardrobes, as if exploring her “high – altitude territory”. When Moko was eight months old, I took her to have a sterilization operation. When taking the B – ultrasound, she insisted on staring at the B – ultrasound machine herself. Her serious appearance amused the medical staff. Unexpectedly, the usually proud little girl is quite brave. When she was being observed in the hospital just after the operation, she looked very unhappy. She was probably still angry because she couldn’t move freely. After returning home, she only wore the surgical gown for one day and then took it off by herself. Although I didn’t find the photo of her taking off the clothes, I can imagine her naughty look. Moko also has a habit. When I go to the toilet or take a bath, she likes to accompany me in the bathroom, as if that is her exclusive time to guard me. However, Moko has a not – so – good digestive system. Her white blood cell count has always been a bit high. I have taken her to have blood tests many times because of this. But every time she is extremely obedient, making people feel sorry for her.

Moko’s sleeping posture is also very interesting. Sometimes she lies on me, drowsy, looking extremely cute. Silver – shaded cats shed hair extremely seriously. For this reason, I bought a hair – grooming tool. It is both cheap and easy to use. Moko and Doubao both like it. My husband is always worried that I will groom them bald. Sometimes, Moko likes to lie on the head of the bed to sleep. She looks exactly like a little fox. Once, when I woke up and looked up, I found her sleeping on top of my head. She was so cute that I couldn’t help but want to hug her. When giving her a bath, she is relatively cooperative, but once it comes to blowing her hair, she firmly refuses to cooperate. Every time she leaves some “souvenirs” on the beautician’s arm. She also especially likes to damage the computer. I don’t know what special “interest” she has in the computer.

Next, it’s time to introduce my little Doubao. The reason why I named it Doubao is that at that time, I especially liked a local restaurant’s food. And this restaurant had a kind of glutinous rice ball called “Nian Doubao” which was extremely delicious. I could eat at that restaurant four or five times a week, and I would order this glutinous rice ball every time. So I named the cat Doubao. Doubao has been very timid since it was a kitten. As soon as there are guests at home, it immediately hides under the sofa or the bed and never shows up. But when it was a kitten, it was very clingy, just like a real glutinous rice ball. Every morning at five o’clock, it will lie on me on time to wake me up. Usually, as long as I am lying at home, it will definitely lie on me or beside me, not willing to leave me for a moment. Doubao not only has big eyes but also has long legs. It has a favorite posture and often maintains that look, looking very comfortable.

Moko and Doubao have grown up together since they were kittens, and their relationship is extremely deep. They often sleep in each other’s arms, accompanying each other. I have taken countless photos of them. Every time I organize the photos, I feel both tired and happy. At the moment, I am lying in the hospital bed, waiting to give birth, with an IV drip in my right hand. If someone wants to know more about their stories, I will continue to update when I have the energy. These two silver – shaded cats have brought countless joys and warmth to my life. They are extremely precious treasures in my life.
