The experience of raising a cat is truly wonderful! When I think back to the time when I was hesitating about whether to get a cat, I never imagined that now I have no regrets about this decision at all. Instead, my heart is filled with gratitude and joy.
When I first met Li Bai, it was a tiny little thing, with curiosity shining in its eyes. That pitiful little look instantly melted my heart. Since it was all white, I named it Li Bai. In the beginning, Li Bai was a bit timid and cautious about everything around it. But as time went by, it gradually adapted to this new home and began to show more and more lovely aspects of its personality.
It would hug my arm tightly when sleeping, as if it were the warmest and safest haven; it would look at itself in the mirror curiously, as if wondering who that creature that looked just like it was; it would also lie on its back with its belly up, falling asleep without any defense, and that relaxed posture made me feel its trust in me.
Li Bai increasingly reveals its cute and dorky charm. It learned to quietly open the drawer, as if exploring a mysterious treasure trove; it started to knead with its little paws, and those small paws kneading one by one were extremely cute. It is very greedy. It doesn’t necessarily have to eat, but as long as it sees someone eating, it will definitely come over and stare longingly, making people can’t help but want to share some with it. It has a special preference for drinking water, only liking to drink from my cup. At that time, its little head was still very small, looking extremely cute.
Li Bai likes to play with bells. Every time it hears the crisp sound of the bell, it will chase after it excitedly, and its lively appearance is full of vitality. When sleeping, it is like a child. In winter, it will obediently lie in my arms and knead on me. At that moment, I can truly feel its dependence and intimacy.
As time passes, Li Bai begins to gradually gain weight. Sometimes it will stare at the showerhead, seemingly thinking about the mysteries of cat life; occasionally it will forget to retract its tongue, and its cute and dorky look makes people laugh. Although it sometimes suddenly becomes a bit silly and deviates from the path of cuteness occasionally, this also adds a lot of fun to our lives. It will also find all kinds of excuses for itself, such as “I’m not fat at all, really” “It’s not me that’s fat, it’s the world”, and its arrogant look makes people both laugh and cry. When it sleeps, it likes to keep its little hands crossed, but sometimes it will show a strange “oily feeling”, which is really confusing.
I still remember the first time Li Bai saw snow. It ran around excitedly in the snow, leaving a string of footprints that looked like little plum blossoms, and that was one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen. Although Li Bai has a very gentle personality, it also gets angry sometimes. For example, when it sees a cat it doesn’t like, it will show a look of dissatisfaction. It will also secretly watch me in bed, be a little naughty occasionally, and then continue to maintain its aloof attitude. However, in a blink of an eye, that soft and cute girl will come back, lying obediently on me and becoming a cuteness tool without emotion. As long as there is a little sound outside the door, it will immediately become alert and go over to take a look, and its focused look is very cute. Moreover, it especially doesn’t like taking photos. Every time it sees me taking out my phone, it will put on a rejecting look, as if saying “No photos! I don’t want to take photos!”
Having Li Bai, I feel like I have a lot. It is a well – behaved cat that never wakes me up, and it is very considerate. Only when I wake up will it start meowing beside me, as if telling me its longing and companionship. I think Li Bai is not a folded – ear cat. It just looks like its ears are relatively small, and its ears rarely droop. It has always been very healthy, just not eating a lot. Watching it grow day by day and participating in every moment of its life, my heart is filled with happiness and contentment. I know that in the days to come, Li Bai will continue to accompany me, bringing me more joy and warmth, and I will always take good care of it and cherish every moment we spend together.
