On the Zhihu platform, I have always been a small and unknown user. However, seeing everyone sharing their cute cats, I can’t help but show off my beloved treasure – Yaya.
The origin of Yaya’s name is quite interesting. Because its “mother” (the original owner) especially loves to eat duck necks, and directly naming it Duck Neck doesn’t sound good, so it was named Yaya. I still remember when Yaya was a kitten. When it first arrived home and came out of the airline crate, it looked timid and curious. Its small body explored the new environment carefully. On the third day after arriving home, it gradually relaxed and began to show the unique liveliness of a kitten. There is a high – definition profile photo that perfectly captures its cute outline, with big eyes and a pink nose. It makes people want to hug it when they see it.
As Yaya grew up, it came to the stage of sterilization. When I took it to the hospital, I was full of worries. However, the doctor said that Yaya was extremely obedient, which made me feel much more at ease. After sterilization, Yaya seemed to start the “getting – fat” journey, and its body became fatter and fatter. Every time I see the video recording that period of time, I can’t help but laugh. Its chubby appearance is really too cute. Looking at Yaya’s increasing weight, I also start to worry and often think about how to make a cat lose weight. While laughing at its fatness, I will also tell it that mom will often clean the windows, so don’t dirty the windows, as if it can understand. I sincerely hope that Yaya can always be healthy and accompany me for a long, long time.
Speaking of the process of bringing Yaya home, it was really a wonderful fate, and I still feel extremely lucky. When Yaya was four months old, I saw the adoption information posted by the original owner on Weibo. The original owner was going to work in another city, so she was in a hurry to find a new home for Yaya and priced it at 2500 yuan. At that time, I didn’t know much about the market situation and thought the price was a bit high, so I tried to bargain with the original owner to 888 yuan. The original owner refused. I felt quite a pity and didn’t ask any more questions. But a few hours later, the original owner took the initiative to send me a message, saying, “Weibo is really scary. Everyone is asking for free home – delivery of cats. In comparison, I’m still normal.”
So we made an appointment to pick up the cat at night. That night, after work, I first went to my husband’s company and planned to go to pick up the cat with him. Unfortunately, my husband was extremely busy that night. It was already nine o’clock and there was no sign of leaving. I thought about picking up the cat tomorrow, but my husband firmly disagreed. He said that I had been wanting to raise a cat for so long, and we must bring the cat home tonight. So my husband finished his work in a hurry, and we set off. After seeing the original owner, the original owner said, “You came at just the right time. Just now! Just now! Someone on Xianyu has already paid 2500 yuan for it!” But the original owner was really extremely kind. She said, “You came first. If you like it, take it away. The amount of money doesn’t matter. As long as you treat the cat well.” At that moment, I was really touched. I truly believe that good people will have a safe life, and I would like to thank the original owner’s kindness again.
Since Yaya came to my home, it has become the happy fruit of the family. Every movement and every expression of it can bring us endless joy. Whether it was its liveliness and activity when it was a kitten or its chubby and cute appearance after growing up, I deeply love it. I know that Yaya is not just a cat but also a precious partner in my life. I will take good care of it, accompany it through every beautiful moment, and look forward to it growing up healthily and happily all the time.
