Ersi: My Adorable Cat and the Precious Memories Together

Ersi: My Adorable Cat and the Precious Memories Together

On October 27th, I welcomed a new partner into my life – Ersi. It was just three months old at that time, a small and adorable little thing. When it first arrived home, it wasn’t afraid of the new environment at all. It walked around the house curiously, sniffing everywhere, full of the desire to explore. At the beginning, though, it didn’t pay much attention to me. Only when I took out toys would it play with me for a while. Its appearance was both arrogant and cute.

During the first two nights, I kept Ersi in a cage, and it howled pitifully. The sound made me feel extremely distressed. I couldn’t bear to see it suffering like that, so I let it out. Unexpectedly, it became obedient immediately. Since then, I have been keeping it free – range, allowing it to move around freely in the house.

After Ersi got its second vaccine shot, it slept at home for a whole day. At that time, there was no carpet at home, and as a kitten, it liked the coolness and always preferred to sleep on the floor. The next day, it sneezed several times in a row, which really scared me. I was about to take it to the hospital, but unexpectedly, it got better on its own. This made me finally feel relieved.

As time passed, Ersi trusted us more and more. After about two weeks, it learned its own name. As soon as we call it, it will respond, and its talkative nature has become more and more obvious. When we see it sleeping with its belly exposed or occasionally sticking out its tongue, we know that it is in a relaxed state. This makes us extremely happy because it means that it has full trust in us.

Ersi has all kinds of interesting sleeping postures. Sometimes it sleeps in the shape of rabbit ears, which makes people laugh; sometimes it adjusts its posture because the light is too dazzling. It also especially likes to occupy the keyboard. Whenever I want to use the computer, I always see it lying leisurely on the keyboard as if it is its exclusive territory.

Ersi has a very good temper. No matter how I play with it, it won’t get angry. When trimming its nails or cleaning its ears, it is super obedient. I guess it understands that even if it runs away, it will still be caught back to continue, so it cooperates obediently. After it got all the vaccine shots, I took it to the pet store for its first bath in its cat life. It was very scared, but even so, it didn’t extend its claws to hurt people. It just kept crying pitifully. Its poor little appearance made me feel both distressed and amused.

On New Year’s Day, Ersi saw snow for the first time. It was so curious that it squatted on the windowsill and watched for a whole morning. Looking at its focused little eyes, it seemed to be exploring a whole new world. When it was five months old, it started to develop jowls. Its face gradually became rounder. Compared with when it was a kitten, its appearance improved a lot, becoming even cuter and more handsome.

Now, Ersi basically has the same schedule as us. At night, after we say goodnight and turn off the lights, it will find a place to sleep by itself; in the morning, as soon as the alarm clock rings, it will rush to our faces to wake us up. If we don’t wake up the first time, it will come to wake us up again after two minutes. It is even more punctual than the alarm clock.

Sometimes at midnight, Ersi is like a small generator, circling around your head. It not only steps on your hair but also licks your face, arches your neck, and touches your face with its cold little paws. Now it has even learned to lie on your chest. When I turn over and lie on my stomach, it will wait until I get into position and then nestle on my back. The feeling is both warm and a bit helpless.

Now, Ersi is almost six months old, and I plan to take it home in a few days. My parents didn’t like pets originally. In order to make them like Ersi too, I really have worried a lot. When Ersi wears clothes, it can’t walk. Only by luring it with toys and snacks will it reluctantly take a few steps. This is really a headache.

When I was a child, I couldn’t keep a pet because my parents didn’t agree. Now that I’m working, I finally have my own cat – Ersi. I want to give it all the best things and hope it can grow up healthily. Ersi, I really love you so much. I hope we can spend more wonderful times together and create more precious memories.
