Miao Miao: The Adorable Silver – Shaded Cat that Enriched My Life

On April 30th this year, I officially became a cat – litter – cleaner, and my cat, Miao Miao, a silver – shaded cat, entered my life unexpectedly yet wonderfully. Choosing a silver – shaded cat was purely accidental for me. At that time, the seller sent me a video of a cat. In the video, it was all furry with big, bright eyes. Its cute appearance instantly struck my heart, and I immediately decided that it was the one. To welcome Miao Miao, it took a hitchhiking ride from Nanjing to Yangzhou, and I was busy preparing at home. I specially made a paper – box new home for it, thinking of giving it a warm little nest; then I went to the supermarket and carried back the cat litter with great effort; I also bought fresh chicken and fish, looking forward to making Miao Miao feel the warmth of home and my love as soon as it arrived. I really tried my best to please this little cutie who was about to come.

When Miao Miao first arrived home, it was only over two months old, a small ball, extremely cute. It meowed in a soft and milky voice, which could melt people’s hearts. However, soon I found that Miao Miao’s health was not good. It had ringworm on its body and ear mites in its ears. Looking at it suffering, I felt very distressed and started a long treatment process. During the treatment, in order to apply the medicine easily, I had to cut off some of its fur. At that time, Miao Miao looked a bit ugly, very different from its cute appearance when it first arrived home, but I knew it was all for its quick recovery.

When Miao Miao was a kitten, it was extremely clingy and was simply my little shadow. Since I work from home, it followed me almost 24 hours a day. When I took a shower, it would squat at the bathroom door waiting; when I used the toilet, it also had to accompany me beside me, not leaving for a single step. It especially liked to sleep on my chest. Its small body curled up there, warm and secure. At that time, I often wondered if I had a fake cat. After all, in my perception, most cats are relatively independent, but Miao Miao was so dependent on me, making me feel full of love.

As time passed, Miao Miao gradually grew up and became more and more beautiful. Its face became chubby, and its big tail was fluffy and beautiful, especially eye – catching in the pet group. Miao Miao can also “help” me with housework. Once I found it pushing a rag on the ground with its claws. It looked like it was seriously sweeping the floor. I quickly took a photo as a souvenir. It was really a funny little treasure.

When Miao Miao sleeps, it is also my favorite time to secretly take pictures. Its sleeping postures are extremely strange. Sometimes it lies on its back with all four limbs sprawled out, showing its chubby belly; sometimes it curls itself into a ball, like a furry ball; it even learned to sleep with a pillow like me, with its head resting on the pillow, looking extremely cute.

When it comes to food, Miao Miao is simply a little foodie and has no resistance to delicious food at all. Whenever I can’t find it, as long as I open the food packaging bag, hearing that familiar sound, it will definitely run to me at the fastest speed, staring straight at the food in my hand with its eyes, meowing non – stop, as if saying: “I’m here. Give me the food quickly!” It has a special preference for eggs. Every time I open the refrigerator, it seems to know there are eggs inside and can’t wait to steal them. Its eager look makes people angry and funny at the same time.

Before getting neutered, Miao Miao’s big testicles and big tail were also one of its signs. Even in the middle of the night when I got up to use the toilet, it would follow me sleepily. Although it was so sleepy that its eyes could hardly stay open, it still didn’t want to leave me. Most of the time, Miao Miao is very gentle. It will lie quietly beside me, allowing me to stroke its fur. But it also gets angry sometimes. Once it gets angry, its fierce look is like a little tiger, showing its teeth and claws. However, this is just one of its cute sides.

Yesterday, Miao Miao experienced an important moment. Its testicles were removed, and it officially became a “neutered male”. Although I felt a bit sorry for it, it was also for its health. Looking at its weak appearance after the operation, I secretly vowed to take more careful care of it. Miao Miao, this lovely silver – shaded cat, has become an indispensable part of my life. It has brought me endless joy and warmth. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with it in the days to come.
