When our cat baby first stepped into our home, it was only a tiny little thing, just two months old. At that time, it was so innocent and clumsy that even climbing onto the sofa was a difficult task for it. It often needed my help to reach this “high ground” in its eyes. It has a half – fold – ear gene, but because it was still young, the characteristics of the folded ears were not very obvious. Looking back, when I first saw its mother cat, I was instantly attracted by her charming appearance. Perhaps it was this wonderful fate that brought the baby into my life.
The baby is curious about everything around it. In particular, the washing machine at home seems to attract it with a mysterious force. It has rushed towards the washing machine several times, only to be knocked dizzy. Its cute and naive appearance makes people laugh. However, life is not always smooth sailing. Before long, we found that the baby’s ears were a bit dirty. It turned out that it had ear mites. Seeing it uncomfortable, I felt very distressed and quickly took it to the clinic to clean its ears. During this process, although the baby was not very cooperative, it endured obediently. Its helpless little eyes made me more determined to take good care of it.
The baby’s sleeping posture can be said to be completely without “manners”. It often lies on its back, looking just like a lazy little pig. It seems that it can fall into a sweet dream in any place and in any position. Sometimes, when I look at its defenseless and sound – asleep appearance, I think it is the happiest little cat in the world. As time goes by, the baby gradually grows up. When it is about six months old, its folded – ear characteristics become more and more obvious, and it looks even more adorable. It also has a habit that makes people laugh. It likes to raise its legs and expose… Its appearance really makes people laugh. It’s really a mischievous cat.
The baby especially likes to do stretching exercises. Every time I see it being so serious, it seems to be saying, “Yo – yo, check it out, a set of stretching exercises.” It makes people laugh. It is also a real “nap lover”. Surprisingly, it is only when it is sleeping that it will cooperate with me to take pictures. It loves to sleep on my pillow. It seems that my pillow is its exclusive territory. Every morning, it will meow outside the door. As soon as I open the door, it will jump onto the bed impatiently and lie comfortably on the pillow, as if saying, “Master, come and sleep with me.” Looking at its cute appearance, how can I bear to refuse?
Its head – tilting kill is simply my “deadly weapon”. Whenever it tilts its head and looks at me with those big eyes blinking, my heart will be melted by it. It is my little sweetheart. Every move and every expression of it can make me feel endless love. Today is December 22nd. The baby is already seven and a half months old. It has become very big, but it is still as silly as when it was a child. I can’t help but want to hug it.
At the end of April, for the baby’s health, I took it to have a sterilization operation. Unfortunately, just after the operation, it was the hair – shedding season. Looking at the cat hair flying everywhere in the house, helplessly, I had to shave off all its hair. Unexpectedly, the baby looked even more cute and silly after being shaved. It still likes to stare at people as always. Its big, round eyes are so beautiful, as if hiding countless little secrets.
In the days of getting along with the baby, it has brought me countless joys and warmth. Its growth process is like a journey full of surprises, and each stage has its own unique charm. I know that it is not just a cat but an indispensable family member in my life. I hope it can grow up healthily and happily all the time and always accompany me, so that this love can last until the end of time.
